What a shock …. Heavyweight BLACK SABBATH best video upgraded significantly … No, this is more than just up. The “original version” that did not even have an existing rumor was unearthly new excavation. The most important historical work is the emergency release decision with the ultimate specification of the permanent preservation press DVD + CD!

[Original broadcast 16 mm film of Sabbath No. 1 video] The most important image is a multi-camera pro shot of “October 3, 1970 Brussels performance”. It may be better to say “Paris 70” to many people. It has been misunderstood as Paris in a long history, and reigns as a symbolic image of “Early SAB BATH!” In addition to creating countless pre-existing groups since the VHS era, the official Super Deluxe Edition of “THE BLACK SAB BATH STORY, VOL. 1”, “DON’T BLAME ME”, “PAST LIVES”, “PARANOID”, etc. Large standard among the standard that has been adopted in the work … Yes, it is the most popular video.
This is exactly the “No. 1 video of the entire history of BLACK SAB BATH”, but this work is the highest peak. Of course, we have repeated numerous upgrades in our long history, but this time we have different wakes. It is something different from Daigen to now. As a matter of fact, what has been known up to now was broadcasted on the program “ROCK OF THE SEVENTIES” on Yorkshire TV (Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television). However, the original broadcast was not actually in the UK, but in Belgium where the live was held. It was a music program “POP SHOP” of public broadcaster RTB. And this work is the “POP SHOP” broadcast version. Moreover, they were digitized directly from the original 16 mm film. The “original” that had only had a name in the materials until now saw the eyes of the day.

[Longer than before, the highest quality ever updated] The original version of the impact was also different in content. The composition and camera division that divided the full show into two broadcasts (January 21 and April 4, 1971, the former also “Jan 28” theory) is the same, but editing is different. It is longer than the traditional Yorkshire TV. The cleaning scene at the beginning (the scene where Ozzy brushed teeth with a deck brush) is about 5 seconds shorter than the Yorkshire TV, but the rest is longer. In Yorkshire TV, after the final performance of “Rat Salad”, I switched to “Iron Man” immediately after holding a still image of the logo, but in this work, the shooting progressed as it was, and it shifted naturally from the realistic audience scene of about 15 seconds. To go. Furthermore, the English announcement does not come to the ending of the two broadcasts, and the backstage video is projected for about 10 seconds each.
It is important that just historical images are only tens of seconds long, but the quality is more shocking than that. The best master so far is “THE OZZY OS BOURNE YEARS: ULTIMATE EDITION” version, but this work is even more beautiful! “ULTIMATE EDITION” is also an image beauty more than official (as seen now), but the texture of the skin is strangely slippery as if I wanted to apply a foundation. Still it was the best, and it was thought that shooting was such an image quality in the first place, but it was actually different. The Ozzy in this film has a pimple-like skinny skin, and the arm hair of Ioomi and the dirt of the finger sack are also projected as super-clean.
Furthermore, the dubbing mark which has been so far is zero. I think naturally because it is awakened from the original 16 mm film, there is absolutely no tape twist or white noise that is sometimes found even in “ULTIMATE EDITION”. The beauty of the original film and the reality of the film overflow the full screen if it is just an original film. As a matter of fact, the second half of the show (for the second split broadcast) comes out with a slightly reddish scene, but this is not a deterioration either. It is clear that the normal color and redness are changed by the split of multi-camera cuts, and that the original broadcast was this color (it is easy to fix the color but it has been permanently preserved as the truth of history only). Of course, the first half is all normal color, and the second half is reddish only at some angles.

[The live album which made the shock sound board a stereo also attached] Although it is an image beauty in which the eyelids fall from the eyes with polo polo, the first upgrade is actually audio. This is another thing completely! The highest peak ever before was “ULTIMATE EDITION”, but the top in audio aspect was the bonus CD that was attached to the Super Deluxe Edition of the official “PARANOID”. However, in this “POP SHOP” film, even the official CD is outrageous.
Above all the mix and it’s completely different. The UK Yorkshire TV version of the audio was a sloppy monaural sound, and it was the same for “PAST LIVES” and “PARANOID” Super Dela Eddie. Although the “POP SHOP” broadcast version is also monaural, it is clear that Ogen was clearly a stereo sound board. In the past, there was a three-dimensional effect on the core that had been tedious, there was depth in the ensemble, and you could enjoy a beautiful sense of separation. This is completely speculative, but the original Belgian broadcast has monophonic stereo sound, and the UK Yorkshire TV may be remixing the core for mono. Furthermore freshness updates the highest peak. Even the official CD of Super De La Eddi had deterioration in the second half, and I felt the distortion as if it had been caused from mp3. However, “POP SHOP” film has no such deterioration. The glossy, three-dimensional sound does not shake from beginning to end.
It is not good to leave such an impact sound board as a pro shot attachment. I would like you to bite the upgrade after the video by all means, so that, in this work, we also included a soundtrack CD that made audio into a live album. Moreover, this is not just a sound drop, but is made wide with pseudo stereo. The original sound board has a stereo-like mix, so there is no sense of discomfort in the sound space. Rather, the stereo sound at the time of shooting must have been like this … A live album with such persuasive power and a natural feeling. The main feature of this work is a professional shot DVD, but this live album itself is a soundboard album comparable to SAB BATH’s greatest masterpiece “DEFINITIVE MONTREUX 1970 (Zodiac 337)”.

その最重要映像とは「1970年10月３日ブリュッセル公演」のマルチカメラ・プロショット。多くの方には「パリ70」と言った方が通りが良いかも知れません。長い歴史でずっとパリと誤解されつつ「初期SABBATHと言ったらコレ！」の象徴映像として君臨。VHS時代から無数の既発群を生み出してきただけでなく、『THE BLACK SABBATH STORY, VOL.1』や『DON’T BLAME ME』『PAST LIVES』、『PARANOID』のスーパーデラックス・エディションなどの公式作品にも採用されてきた定番中の大定番……いえ、最定番映像です。
まさに“BLACK SABBATH全史のNo.1映像”なわけですが、本作はその最高峰となるもの。もちろん、これまでも長い歴史で数限りなくアップグレードを繰り返してきたのですが、今回はこれまでとはワケが違う。大元から今までとは異なるものなのです。実のところ、これまで知られてきたのは英国ヨークシャーTV（Yorkshire-Tyne Tees Television）の番組“ROCK OF THE SEVENTIES”で放送されたものでした。しかし、オリジナル放送は実は英国ではなく、ライヴが行われたベルギー。公共放送局RTBの音楽番組“POP SHOP”だったのです。そして、本作はその“POP SHOP”放送版。しかも、オリジナルの16ミリ・フィルムからダイレクトにデジタル化されたもの。これまで資料の中に名前があるだけだった「オリジナル」が、遂に日の目を見たのです。

【従来より長く、クオリティも史上最高峰を更新】
衝撃のオリジナル版は、内容も異なっていました。フルショウを２回の放送（1971年１月21日と４月４日。前者は“１月28日”説もあり）に分けた構成やカメラ割り等は同じなのですが、編集が異なる。これまでのヨークシャーTVよりも長いのです。冒頭の掃除シーン（オジーがデッキブラシで歯を磨くシーン）こそヨークシャーTVより５秒ほど短いものの、それ以外は本作の方が長い。ヨークシャーTVでは「Rat Salad」の終演後にロゴの静止画を挟んでさっさと「Iron Man」へ切り替わりましたが、本作では現場そのままに撮影が進み、15秒ほどのリアルな観客シーンから自然に移っていく。さらに２回の放送のエンディングにも英語アナウンスが入らず、バックステージ映像が各10秒ほど長く映し出されているのです。
歴史的映像だけに数十秒長いだけでも重大事なわけですが、それ以上に衝撃なのがクオリティ。これまでの最高峰マスターは『THE OZZY OSBOURNE YEARS: ULTIMATE EDITION』バージョンなのですが、本作はさらに美しい！　『ULTIMATE EDITION』も（今見ても）オフィシャル以上の映像美ではあるのですが、肌の質感はファンデーションを塗りたくったかのように妙にツルツル。それでも最高峰でしたし、そもそも撮影がそういう画質だと思われてきたのですが、実は違っていた。本作のオジーにはニキビっぽい肌のゴツゴツがあり、アイオミの腕毛も指サックの汚れも超クッキリと映し出されている。
さらに、これまで宿命だったダビング痕がゼロ。大元16ミリ・フィルムから起こされているのですから当然とは思いつつ、『ULTIMATE EDITION』でさえ散見されたテープヨレや白線ノイズもまったく皆無なのです。まさにオリジナル・フィルムなればこその美しさとフィルムの現実感が画面いっぱいに溢れ出してくる。実のところ、ショウの後半（２分割放送の２回目分）はやや赤みがかったシーンも出てくるのですが、これも劣化ではない。マルチカメラのカット割りによって通常色と赤みがパッと切り替わり、オリジナル放送がこの色彩だったと分かる（色味を直す事もカンタンではありますが、あくまでも歴史の真実通りに永久保存しました）。もちろん、前半はすべて通常カラーですし、後半も赤みが差すのは一部のアングルだけです。

【衝撃サウンドボードをステレオ化したライヴアルバムも付属】
目から鱗がポロポロと落ちる映像美ではありますが、実は一番のアップグレードは音声。これがもう、まったくの別物！　映像面でこれまでの最高峰は『ULTIMATE EDITION』だったわけですが、音声面での頂点は公式作『PARANOID』のスーパーデラックス・エディションに付属していたボーナスCDでした。ところが、今回の“POP SHOP”フィルムは、その公式CDさえ軽々と凌駕しているのです。
何よりミックスからして丸っきり違う。英国ヨークシャーTV版の音声はペタッとしたモノラル音声で、それは『PAST LIVES』でも『PARANOID』のスーパー・デラエディでも同じでした。“POP SHOP”放送版もモノラルではあるものの、大元が明らかにステレオ・サウンドボードだった事が分かる。従来はペタっとしていた芯に立体感があり、アンサンブルに奥行きがあり、綺麗なセパレート感がたっぷりと味わえるのです。これは完全に推測ですが、オリジナルのベルギー放送はステレオ音声をモノラル化しており、英国ヨークシャーTVではモノラル用に芯を突き出すようなリミックスをしているのかも知れません。さらに鮮度も最高峰を更新。スーパー・デラエディの公式CDですら後半部には劣化があり、まるでmp3から起こしたような歪みも感じられました。しかし、“POP SHOP”フィルムにはそうした劣化が一切なし。艶やかで立体的なサウンドが終始揺るがないのです。
そんな衝撃サウンドボードをプロショットの添え物だけにしておくのは勿体ない。映像以上のアップグレードぶりをぜひ、噛みしめていただきたい……という事で、本作では音声をライヴアルバム化したサウンドトラックCDも同梱致しました。しかも、これもただの音落としではなく、疑似ステレオでワイド化。元のサウンドボードがステレオ感覚のミックスな事もあり、その音空間に違和感なし。むしろ、撮影時のステレオ音声はこうだったに違いない……そんな説得力とナチュラル感のあるライヴアルバムに仕上がっている。本作はあくまでもプロショットDVDこそが主役ではあるのですが、このライヴアルバム自体もSABBATH史上の最高傑作『DEFINITIVE MONTREUX 1970（Zodiac 337）』に匹敵するサウンドボード・アルバムなのです。

BLACK SABBATHの最定番にして最重要プロショットの頂点盤。“POP SHOP”のオリジナル16ミリ・フィルムからデジタル化された究極クオリティ版です。長年、数限りなくアップグレードを繰り返してきた映像ではありますが、本作こそがオリジナルであり、これ以上はないでしょう。まさにロックの世界遺産であり、BLACK SABBATH頂点の一作。この歴史的な新発掘、永久保存プレスDVD＋CDでいつでもいつまでもお楽しみください。
