そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは、これまで知られてこなかった「1976年６月10日プロヴィデンス公演」。その極上オーディエンス録音です。本作最大の衝撃は、とんでもないサウンド。ワケあって（後述）Amityレーベルからのご紹介となりましたが、クオリティ的には完全にプレス級。登場と共に「サウンドボードより凄い！」と話題になっている新録音なのです。

これがモラーツ時代の活動概要。２つのツアー“RELAYER Tour”・“SOLO ALBUMS Tour”が並んでいるわけですが、本作のプロヴィデンス公演は後者の前半である「北米#3」。ここは頂点サウンドボード『THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM（のジャージーシティ公演）』も残されていますので、さらに日程をフォーカスしてポジションを確かめてみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。ジャージーシティ公演サウンドボードを筆頭に３公演連続で名作ライヴアルバムが残されましたが、本作はその一週間まえにあたる13公演目でした。
さて、そんなショウを記録した本作は、とにかく超クリア＆ダイレクト。オンな芯が距離感なく轟き、ほんのりとしたホール鳴りが絶妙な「降り注ぎ感」も演出してくれる。音色的にサウンドボードと間違えはしませんが、「サウンドボードより良い！」と言いたくなるコレクターの気持ちも分かります。“SOLO ALBUMS Tour”のベスト・オーディエンスと言えばミルウォーキー公演の『ON WINGS OF GOLD（Amity 065）』が有名ですが、本作も負けていない……と言いますか、本作の方が上を行くくらいです。
それほどの衝撃録音にも関わらずCD-Rリリースとなったのは「もしかしたら、もっと上があるかも」の予感のせい。実は、この録音が発見したのは、かの伝説名手ダン・ランピンスキーの発掘チーム。当初はあまりの音の良さにランピンスキー作品と思われていたのですが、検証の末に別人の録音と判明したそうです。誰が録音したのか、大元マスターは残されているのか……。サウンド的には十二分にプレス級にも関わらず、その謎と発掘の可能性が永久保存を思い止まらせたのです。
何とも衝撃的なクリア・サウンドですが、実はショウ内容も驚き。その意味をご説明するためにも、ここでセットを整理しておきましょう。

基本的には『THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM』のジャージーシティSBDに酷似しているわけですが、そんな中で耳を惹くのはアンコール・ラストの「Starship Trooper」でしょう。曲としては定番ですが、モラーツ・バージョンとなると話は別。『THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM』や公式映像『1975 AT Q.P.R.』で聴けないだけでなく、オーディエンス録音でもまともなテイクが残っていませんでした。本作は、そんな貴重パフォーマンスを極上級サウンドで聴けるのです。
ランピンスキー・コレクションから見つかったけれど、本人録音ではない。でも、ランピンスキー作品のような超高音質……という謎のライヴアルバムです。録音者もジェネも不明ながら「“SOLO ALBUMS Tour”の王座」に君臨するかも知れない驚異の新発掘。47年を経た衝撃、どうぞ本作で存分にご体験ください。

shocking recording that conveys the scene of Patrick Moraz’s era has been newly discovered! A new masterpiece that is shaking the collector world has been decided to be released urgently.
What is included in this work is the previously unknown “June 10, 1976 Providence performance.” This is the best audience recording. The biggest shock of this work is the incredible sound. For some reason (described later), it was introduced by the Amity label, but the quality is completely press-grade. It is a new recording that has become a hot topic as “it’s better than the sound board!” with its appearance.
Before we look at the quality, first of all is the position of the show. This is a good opportunity to take a bird’s-eye view of the Moraz era together with our collection.

This is an overview of activities during the Moraz era. Two tours “RELAYER Tour” and “SOLO ALBUMS Tour” are lined up, but the Providence performance of this work is “North America #3” which is the first half of the latter. The top sound board “THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM (Jersey City performance)” is also left here, so let’s further focus on the schedule and check the position.

…and it looks like this. A masterpiece live album was left for three consecutive performances, including the Jersey City performance sound board, but this work was the 13th performance one week before that.
Well, this work that recorded such a show is super clear and direct. The active core roars without any sense of distance, and the slight hall sound creates an exquisite “feeling of rain”. I wouldn’t mistake it for a soundboard in terms of tone, but I can understand the collector’s desire to say, “It’s better than a soundboard!” Speaking of the best audience of the “SOLO ALBUMS Tour”, the Milwaukee performance “ON WINGS OF GOLD (Amity 065)” is famous, but this work is not inferior…or should I say, this work is better. I’m about to go.
The reason why it was released on CD-R despite such a shocking recording was because of the hunch that there might be something better. In fact, this recording was discovered by the excavation team of the legendary Dan Lumpinski. At first, it was thought to be a work by Lampinski due to the excellent sound quality, but after verification it was discovered that it was a recording by another person. Who recorded it, and is the original master left behind? Although the sound was more than press-grade, its mystery and possibility of excavation deterred permanent preservation.
It’s an indescribably clear sound, but the show content is actually surprising. In order to explain its meaning, let’s organize the sets here.

Basically, it is very similar to the Jersey City SBD of “THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM”, but the one that catches your ear is the encore last song “Starship Trooper”. It’s a classic song, but the Moraz version is a different story. Not only could it not be heard in “THE YEARS OF DELIRIUM” or the official video “1975 AT Q.P.R.,” but there were no decent takes left in the audience recording. In this work, you can listen to such a valuable performance with the highest quality sound.
Although it was found in the Lampinski Collection, it was not recorded by the artist himself. However, it is a mysterious live album with super high sound quality like Rampinski’s work… An amazing new discovery that may reign as the “throne of SOLO ALBUMS Tour” even though the recorder and gene are unknown. Please experience the shock of 47 years to the fullest with this work.

★Excellent audience recording of “June 10, 1976 Providence Performance”. A new excavated recording with an unknown taper discovered during the Lampinski excavation project. The sound is as good as a Lampinski recording, and it has become a hot topic among collectors, saying it’s “better than a soundboard!” This is a shocking new masterpiece that allows you to enjoy even the extremely rare Moraz version of “Starship Trooper”.
