Due to the death of Wayne Shorter on March 2, 2023, it is a sound source that has been newly circulated among collectors in memory of the past. Remastered and coupled recording of Weather Report’s 1975 sound board live sound source. Disc 1 is a live performance in Cleveland, and this is a low generation master with excellent sound quality. However, the master had missing parts between songs, and it was necessary to adjust the volume partially, but it was corrected by careful remastering. Disc 2 is the first appearance sound source and live in Stockholm. Compared to disc 1, the stereo that is neatly divided is attractive, but the sound was somewhat lacking. This is also upgraded as much as possible by remastering. Just before the base changes to Jaco Pastorius, in short, Alfonso Johnson’s maturity period. It’s funkier than the Jaco and has a black base. “BOOGIE WOOGIE WALTZ”, which is a masterpiece of both live performances, is a must-listen.

2023年3月2日ウェイン・ショーターが亡くなったことにより、在りし日を偲ぶ形で新たにコレクター間で出回りだした音源です。ウェザー・リポートの1975年のサウンドボード・ライヴ音源をリマスタリングしカップリング収録。ディスク1はクリーヴランドでのライヴで、こちらはロウ・ジェネレーションのマスターで音質抜群。しかしマスターには曲間に欠落部があったり、部分的にヴォリュームの調整が必要だったりと手をかける必要がありましたが、丁寧なリマスタリングにより補正されています。ディスク2は初登場音源でストックホルムでのライヴ。こちらはディスク1に比べキレイに分かれたステレオが魅力ですが、やや音に迫力がありませんでした。こちらもリマスタリングにより可能な限りアップグレードしてあります。ベースがジャコ・パストリアスへ変わる直前ですが、要するにアルフォンソ・ジョンソンの成熟期。ジャコよりもファンキーで黒いベースが魅力です。どちらのライヴも圧巻の『BOOGIE WOOGIE WALTZ』は必聴。
