First visit to Japan of “UFO on which God rides” realized in 1994. The original recording that allows you to fully experience the legendary scene is a new excavation.
“June 15, 1994: Nakano Sun Plaza Performance” is imbued in this work. It is an excellent audience recording. “Schenker and Nakano” has too many memories and stories, but this work is more about “good memories”. It’s also a good opportunity, so let’s put together the schedule for the reunion UFO’s visit to Japan, which has been realized twice.

All 8 performances above. “Nakano Nightmare”, which left the stage with only 7 songs, was in 1998. On the other hand, this work was a visit to Japan in 1994 full of motivation after reunion.
This work, which was vacuum-packed from such a scene, is a heart-wrenching audience recording with crystal clear clarity. Although it is an audience recording that seems to be an audience that firmly inhales the hall sound, the air feeling is crystal clear. Far from the sound clouding the details, the core has an indescribable luster, and the edges seem to sparkle. The key is the rushing power of the core. If the core loses the thick ringing, everything will be cloudy and it will feel empty, but the core of this work is dense and has the strength to break through the middle of the hall ringing. As a result, the details are transmitted precisely, and the ringing is converted into dynamism instead of a sense of distance.
The clear and dynamic sound depicts a full show where the momentum of the newly reunited clashes with the audience’s joy as their dreams come true. As you may remember if you have experienced the scene, the show has Michael’s solo corner at first, and then the style in which the whole band comes out. The song selection will be the former Greatest Hits, but the selection is different from 1998. Here, let’s organize it while comparing it with the re-visit to Japan four years later.

Speaking of the complete reunion live album with Andy Parker and Paul Raymond, the 1995 Cincinnati performance recorded in the official “LIVE ON EARTH” is also famous, but “Hot ‘N’ Ready” that can not be heard there is also shown. Also, the feeling of the scene of such a show is also wonderful. Of course, it’s not just the 90’s, it’s not an explosive fuss, but rather a tension that makes you not miss even a single crying solo. On top of that, a large chorus of choruses also occurs in “Only You Can Rock Me” etc., and the joy of the famous songs that are performed with each song is felt as Aliari.
“A UFO with a God on board” that I thought I would never reach, and “The 5-person visit to Japan” that never happened a second time. 1994 was also special for the many Michael Schenker visits to Japan. そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「1994年６月15日：中野サンプラザ公演」。その絶品オーディエンス録音です。「シェンカーと中野」は想い出も曰わくもありすぎますが、本作は「良い想い出」の方。良い機会でもありますので、二度実現した再結成UFOの来日スケジュールをまとめて整理してみましょう。

以上の全８公演。７曲だけでステージを去った「中野の悪夢」は1998年。それに対し、本作は再結成間もないやる気溢れる1994年の来日でした。
そんな現場を真空パックした本作は、透き通るクリアさに胸がすくオーディエンス録音。ホール鳴りもしっかり吸い込んだオーディエンスらしいオーディエンス録音ではあるのですが、その空気感がクリスタル・クリア。鳴りがディテールを曇らせるどころか、芯に得も言われぬ艶を宿らせ、エッジもキラキラと輝くよう。その要は芯の突進力。芯が厚みのある鳴りに負けてしまうとすべてが曇ってスカスカ感になってしまいますが、本作の芯は密度たっぷりでホール鳴りのド真ん中を突き破る力強さがある。そのためディテールがキッチリと伝わり、鳴りも距離感ではなくダイナミズムに転化されるのです。
そのクリア＆ダイナミック・サウンドで描かれるのは、再結成したばかりの勢いと夢が叶った観客の歓喜がぶつかり合うフルショウ。現場を体験された方ならご記憶と思いますが、ショウは最初マイケルのソロ・コーナーがあり、その後バンド全員が出てくるスタイル。選曲は往年のグレイテスト・ヒッツになるわけですが、1998年とはセレクトが違う。ここでは４年後の再来日と比較しつつ、整理してみましょう。

……と、このようになっています。アンディ・パーカーやポール・レイモンドまで揃った完全再結成のライヴ盤と言えば、公式『LIVE ON EARTH』に収録された1995年シンシナティ公演も有名ですが、そこでも聴けない「Hot ‘N’ Ready」も披露されている。また、そんなショウの現場感がまた素晴らしい。もちろん、すでに90年代だけあって爆ノリの空騒ぎというわけではなく、むしろ泣きのソロを１音たりとも聞き逃すまいという緊張感さえ滲み出す。その上で「Only You Can Rock Me」などではサビの大合唱も巻き起こり、１曲１曲と披露される名曲への歓喜はアリアリと感じられるのです。
