TOTO in 2023, who came to Japan for the first time in four years on the 45th anniversary of their debut. The original recording has arrived, breaking news of the Japan tour currently in progress.
The performance of “July 15, 2023: Asue Arena Osaka (former: Maruzen Intec Arena Osaka)” is imbued in this work. It is a masterpiece audience recording that vacuum-packed the whole picture. All 8 performances above. It is a majestic Japan tour that shows off the popularity that has never declined. I think that the Hiroshima performance will be over by the time this article is published, but the Osaka performance of this work is just before that. It was a concert that will be the 4th performance in Japan.
This work, which was recorded at such a show, is the latest collection by Mr. “West Japan’s Strongest Taper”, a familiar master at our shop, and is a breaking news and the highest quality product. As a matter of fact, the reputation of the sound output is not good for this visit to Japan, but it is amazing because I do not understand it at all from this work. A thick core roars without a sense of distance, and when you close your eyes, you can feel the figures of Joseph Williams and Steve Lukather in front of you. It seems that it was recorded from the 10th row in front, and the three-dimensional effect that the loud cheers do not enter between the stage is also wonderful.
Moreover, it is not just a powerful power recording. The sound is neat and fresh, and the details are fine. Even if you say “just like a sound board” in one word, the individuality of SBD is actually various, but in the case of this work, it boasts a beautiful beauty like FM broadcasting. What exactly was the bad reputation of the sound output? Unintentionally, such a complaint? It is the best as usual that comes out with a mouth.
A full show that has increased in volume from the previous North American performance is depicted with such direct sound. Let’s get things sorted out here.

It is an incomparably large increase. Moreover, it has changed a lot since the last visit to Japan four years ago, especially around “Waiting For Your Love”, “Pamela”, “Kingdom Of Desire”, “Falling In Between” and “Orphan”.
43 years after their legendary first visit to Japan, they have accumulated more than 140 live performances in Japan. This work is a live album containing the latest form. A masterpiece of a masterpiece that may be the first report of the tour. Please enjoy it to the fullest.

そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「2023年７月15日：Asueアリーナ大阪（旧：丸善インテックアリーナ大阪）」公演。その全貌を真空パックした大傑作オーディエンス録音です。今回で18度目となる来日公演は、今この瞬間も続行中。まずは、その現状と本作のポジションを日程で確認してみましょう。

以上の全８公演。今なお衰えることのない人気ぶりを見せつけるような堂々たるジャパン・ツアーです。本稿が公開される頃には折り返しの広島公演も終わっていると思いますが、本作の大阪公演はその直前。来日４公演目となるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は、当店ではお馴染みの名手“西日本最強テーパー”氏による最新コレクションでして、速報にして極上級の銘品。実のところ、今回の来日は出音の評判が芳しくないのですが、本作からはそれがまったく分からないから凄い。極太な芯が距離感なく轟き、目を閉じるとジョセフ・ウィリアムズやスティーヴ・ルカサーの姿を目の前に感じる。前方10列目から録音されているらしく、大歓声がステージとの間に入ってこない立体感も素晴らしい。
しかも単に押しが強いパワー録音でもありません。鳴りは端正で瑞々しく、ディテールも細やか。ひと口で「まるでサウンドボード」と言っても実はSBDの個性も様々だったりするわけですが、本作の場合はFM放送のように整った美しさも誇っているのです。まったく、出音の悪評判は一体何だったのか。思わず、そんな愚痴？が口を付いて出てきてしまう相変わらずの極上ぶりです。
そんなダイレクト・サウンドで画かれるのは、事前の北米公演から一気に増量したフルショウ。ここでその内容も整理しておきましょう。

伝説の初来日から43年、彼らは140公演を超えるライヴ・イン・ジャパンを積み上げてきました。本作は、その最新形を封じ込めたライヴアルバムです。ツアー第一報にして最高傑作になるかもしれない名手の業物。どうぞ、存分にお楽しみください。
