It is a live sound source collection of Terje Rypdal, a talented guitarist who represents ECM. A three-disc set of three performances and one additional song from one performance as a bonus, which was performed in Europe in March 1975 by a band bearing the masterpiece “ODYSSEY” of the official album. Both are recorded on the sound board. The radio DJ’s talk is carefully cut and edited so that you can enjoy only the live performance. Also, I am happy to be able to add chapters to songs that were played like a medley and adjust them to the part I want to listen to. This kind of polite manufacturing is unique to the “STARGAZER’S” label. Since I introduced you as a guitarist who represents ECM, some people may think that “ECM is ambient …”, but this is not the case. The guitar distorted in the intense rhythm section is jazz rock itself. Also recommended for progressive rock fans.
ECMを代表する奇才ギタリスト、テリエ・リピダルのライヴ音源コレクションです。オフィシャル・アルバムの名作“ODYSSEY”を冠したバンドで1975年の3月にヨーロッパで行われたライヴを、三公演とボーナス的に一公演から一曲追加収録の三枚組。いずれもサウンドボード収録です。ラジオDJのトークは丁寧ににカットされライヴだけを堪能できる編集が成されています。また、メドレー的に演奏されていた曲にもチャプターを入れ聴きたい部分にアジャストできる嬉しい気配り。こういう丁寧なモノ造りは“STARGAZER’S”レーベルならではです。ECMを代表するギタリストと紹介したため、中には「ECMといえばアンビエントかぁ・・・」とお思いの方も居るかもしれませんが、これは違います。激しいリズム・セクションに歪んだギターはジャズ・ロックそのもの。プログレ・ファンにもお勧めです。
