It is an item that couples the latest live sound source and video of Soft Machine, which is still energetically continuing live. A live performance at Poggy & Beth, a live house in Vienna, the city of music. The professional shot video is the master, and the sound source part is remastered to cut the talk between songs. Purely only songs The first set is recorded on disc 1 and the second set is recorded on disc 2. Since there is almost no cheers from the audience, it is an edit that you can enjoy at a good tempo like a studio live. On the other hand, for the DVD, the entire song is recorded without editing between songs. It is structured so that you can thoroughly enjoy the entire live performance. It’s a pity that John Marshall is absent, but he has rejuvenated Asaph Silkis and the bassist has also appointed Fred Baker to become a powerful rhythm section. The flow from “Face Lift” to “Hazard Profile” in the latter half is the coolest, and fans of the past are sure to grin.
The DVD has chapters for each track, but there is no menu screen.

現在も精力的にライヴを続けているソフト・マシーンの、最新ライヴの音源と映像をカップリングしたアイテムです。音楽の都ウィーンにあるライヴ・ハウス、ポギー&ベスで行われたライヴ。プロショット映像がマスターになっており、その音源部分をリマスタリングし曲間のトークをカット。純粋に楽曲だけファースト・セットをディスク1に、セカンド・セットをディスク2にそれぞれ収録。オーディエンスの歓声もほとんど入っていないためスタジオ・ライヴのような感じにテンポよく楽しんでいただける編集になっています。一方DVDの方は曲間も未編集で全編収録。ライヴ全体をじっくり楽しんでいただける構成になっています。ジョン・マーシャルの不在が残念ですが、アサフ・シルキスに若返り、ベーシストもフレッド・ベイカーを起用し力強いリズム隊となっています。後半の『フェイス・リフト』から『ハザード・プロファイル』の流れは最高にかっこよく、往年のファンも思わずニヤニヤ間違い無しです。
DVDはトラックごとにチャプターは打ってありますがメニュー画面はありません。
