1973年、10公演が行われたオーストラリア・ツアーの現地テレビ局製作の33分のドキュメント風番組。とても綺麗な白黒映像です。先のマニアの方も「このままプレスDVDでリリースすべき最高・最強・驚きの映像クオリティ」と評価したほどの逸品です。それもそのはず、この映像は「RAGE」再放送用にリクエリエイトされたマスターを10年ほど前にオーストラリアのテレビ関係者から入手したもので、その比類なきクオリティはお墨付きのモノだったのです。当時、同時に入手し一部リリースした、ビージーズやカーペンターズの白黒プロショット、更には1995年オーストラリア・ツアーのドキュメントフィルムは、どれもが大変価値の高いオリジナル作品として、多くのマニアから高い評価を受けています。このたびの「ストーンズ・ウィーク」に合わせて、この貴重な映像を遂にリリースします。映像自体はドキュメント風の作りになっており、メンバー、関係者のインタビューも多く、英語の苦手な方にはちょっと楽しみ辛い作品と言えるかもしれません。しかしながら、この当時の魅力的かつ生々しい雰囲気に、誰しもが圧倒されることでしょう。冒頭と途中にインサートされた、2月27日、メルボルンのクーヨン・コートでのBrown Sugar、Bitchのライヴ映像に、ファンはブッ飛ばされること間違いなし！（音は公式のアテレコですが、上手く映像に合わせています。）ステージにはセットらしい物は何一つなく、チャーリーのドラムの上のビーチパラソルがあるだけ。ビルの後ろにはセキュリティ（？）のおじさんがたまにビールに手を出しながら、手拍子しながらステージの特等席に座って楽しそうに座ってるのも驚きで、誰もが「誰？」となってしまいます。時代がかったABCニュースの映像や記者会見の様子もその全てが必見。キースのインタビューシーンは、そのまま「25X5」に使われている程ですので、質の高さはお墨付きです。キースの、ロックアーチスト然とした、ムードいっぱいのルックス、雰囲気には誰もが圧倒されます。外でのリラックスしたミックの単独インタビューシーンも大変貴重、とにかく珍しいです。後半は、当日演奏されていないYou Gotta Move、そして粋なBGMでShe’s A Rainbowが流れたりします。この時期のストーンズを、ホノルル→東京→オーストラリアと、予定通りに私たち日本人が武道館５デイズ（1/28～2/1）として見ることが出来ていたら、間違いなく、日本の洋楽史は変わっていたことでしょう。最強のバンドを、最高のコンサートを、最高の時期に、最高の場所で見ることが出来なかったことは、私たち日本のファンにとっては悲運・悲劇でしかなかったわけですが、この当時の映像を楽しみながら、あれやこれやと実現しなかったストーンズ初来日公演を想像するのも、これもまた一興です。上級者向けの映像ですが、いやいや、高い資料性とエンタティメントに満ちた、最高のハイクオリティタイトルです。オリジナル・メニュー付き。是非、お楽しみ下さい！
