The latest tour “This Is Not a Drill” has finally reached the climax of the North American leg. The latest live album that reports such a final show is now available.
“Performance in Glendale on October 3, 2022” is imbued in this work. It is the best audience recording. We introduced the live album right after the tour started, but for some reason the recording situation was not good in the summer, and the report was interrupted for a while. However, the audience recording is also lively as if it were linked to the excitement of the tour after coming here. Both the number and the quality have become soaring. First of all, let’s check the progress of our store collection and tour on the schedule.

This is the schedule that has been announced to date. The tour is in progress right now and all US/Canada dates are over. There are only 3 performances in Mexico left. In addition, as the tour progresses, the schedule for next year is also increasing. Two performances have increased from the previous report, and it feels like the whole view of “This Is Not a Drill” is about to come into view. Under such circumstances, the Glendale performance of this work is the 38th performance of the North American leg. It was a concert that had just been held almost a week ago.
The sound of the latest report is, of course, top-notch. The other day, I was blown away by the different dimension sound “VANCOUVER 2022 (Amity 700)”, but this work is rather closer to “DENVER 2022 (Amity 698)”. Although the core is powerful and on, the hall sound that is slightly wrapped there adds luster and dynamism. Of course, if the ringing becomes a sense of distance or hides the details, there is no original or child, but there is no such worry in this work. The rushing power of the core is wonderful, and the attack and detail reach you as if breaking through the veil of ringing. While the symphonic ensemble woven by various instruments is heavily colored, each word of the melody and lyrics gradually permeates the heart. It is a name recording that combines such tolerance and beauty.
A full show of “This Is Not a Drill”, which has become familiar, is drawn with such a dynamic sound. The set is fixed, but just in case, let’s repeat the arrangement here.

“This Is Not a Drill” began with the words, “This may be the last tour,” after repeated postponements due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. The North American leg is almost over. It’s difficult to get the best sound in Latino Mexico, so we have to wait about half a year until the next European leg. Maybe this work will be the last name recording in 2022. The latest live performance of Roger Waters, whose weight increases as the world situation becomes more severe. Please enjoy this work to the fullest.

いよいよ北米レッグも佳境に差し掛かってきた最新ツアー“This Is Not a Drill”。そんな終盤ショウをレポートする最新ライヴアルバムが登場です。
そんな本作に吹き込まれているのは「2022年10月３日グレンデール公演」。その極上オーディエンス録音です。当店ではツアー開始直後からライヴアルバムをご紹介してきましたが、夏場はなぜか録音事情が芳しくなく、一時はレポートも途切れ気味でした。しかし、ここに来てツアーの盛り上がりに連動するかのようにオーディエンス録音も活況。本数もクオリティも右肩上がりとなってきました。まずは、そんな当店コレクションとツアーの進捗状況をスケジュールで確認してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されているスケジュール。ツアーは今まさに進行中で、アメリカ／カナダの全日程が終了。残すところメキシコ３公演のみとなっています。また、ツアーの進捗と同時に来年の日程も増加中。前回レポートより２公演増え、そろそろ“This Is Not a Drill”の全景も見えてきた感じです。そんな中で本作のグレンデール公演は北米レッグの38公演目。ほぼ一週間前に行われたばかりのコンサートでした。
そんな最新レポートは、もちろんサウンドも極上級。先日は異次元サウンドの『VANCOUVER 2022（Amity 700）』にド肝を抜かれましたが、本作はどちらかというと『DENVER 2022（Amity 698）』の方に近い。芯は力強くオンではあるものの、そこにほんのりと纏ったホール鳴りが艶とダイナミズムを添加している。もちろん、その鳴りが距離感になったり細部を隠してしまったら元も子もないわけですが、本作にその心配はなし。芯の突進力が素晴らしく、アタックもディテールも鳴りのベールを突き破るようにして手元に届く。様々な楽器が織りなすシンフォニックなアンサンブルを重厚に彩りつつ、メロディや歌詞の一語一語がじんわりと胸に染み渡る。そんな包容力と美しさを兼ね備えた名録音なのです。
