PINK FLOYD’s last world tour “THE DIVISION BELL TOUR” is a superb stereo sound board album that can be experienced through the reprint. It is decided to release the permanent preservation press 2CD.

Included in this work is “Torino Performance on September 13, 1994”. It is a super-best stereo sound board recording that allows you to taste the whole picture with the highest quality. This is an overview of the last FLOYD world tour. Although “P.U.L.S.E” has been extracted from various parts of the European leg, the Torino performance of this work is completely out of the meantime. In other words, all the songs and notes of this work cannot be heard in “P.U.L.S.E”.
Of course, you can enjoy “On The Turning Away”, “Take It Back”, and “One Of These Days”, which were different in the set and could not be heard in “P.U.L.S.E”. そんな『TORINO 1994 SOUNDBOARD』のもう１つのポイントは、公式『P.U.L.S.E』とは一切のダブりがないこと。当店では“THE DIVISION BELL TOUR”の長尺サウンドボード・アルバム『DEFINITIVE PULSE（Sigma 225）』や『EARLS COURT 1994 BBC RADIO BROADCAST（Sigma 221）』もありますが、それらはいずれも『P.U.L.S.E』絡み。公式盤の拡大版であったり、メイン会場の放送版でした。それに対し、本作は『P.U.L.S.E』とは一切関係がない。その状況を把握するため、ここで“THE DIVISION BELL TOUR”のサウンドボード事情を整理してみましょう。

これがFLOYD最後のワールド・ツアーの概要。『P.U.L.S.E』は欧州レッグのあちこちから抜粋されているものの、本作のトリノ公演はその合間ではあっても完全に外れている。つまり、本作の全曲・全ノートが『P.U.L.S.E』では聴けないものなのです。
もちろん、セットも異なり『P.U.L.S.E』では聴けなかった「On The Turning Away」「Take It Back」「One Of These Days」も楽しめる。しかも、これがツアー全体でも名演として知られるもの。浮き出たギターとバックアップするコーラスの色彩感が抜群の「What Do You Want From Me」、中間部でコーラスに包まれながらギターが舞う迫力が素晴らしい「A Great Day For Freedom」、メインテーマが震えながら立ち上がってくる鮮烈さに圧倒される「Shine On You Crazy Diamond」。ディスク２に移ってもスペイシーな音像が上下左右の音域一杯に広がる「High Hopes」、冒頭レジスターのSEが左右から飛来し、膜鳴楽器「カズー」も鮮やかな「Money」、様子も消え入る弱音まで聴き取れ、最後の歌詞“we fall…♪”がディレイ処理で約40秒間(!!)も延々と残ってゆく「Hey You」、自動車のタイヤが鳴るスキール音も「Run Like Hell」等々など、全編・全曲でステレオ・サウンドボードの威力が爆発するのです。

【史上最高峰を更新した永久保存プレス盤】
本作は、そんな素晴らしきトリノ・サウンドボードの史上最高峰を究めたもの。現存するベストなマスターを使用し、全編にわたって精密・細心のリマスタリングで磨き込み。『TORINO 1994 SOUNDBOARD』他の既発では「One Of These Days」に音飛びがありましたが、それも完全修復。ピッチや揺れがまったくない鉄壁の完成度は当然でありつつ、超極上な原音の旨みを汚す過剰なイコライジングはなし。あくまでも均整でナチュラルなサウンドを保持しつつ、完成度だけをたかめた“THE DIVISION BELL TOUR”最高峰のライヴアルバムに仕上がっている。実のところ、今回の復刻に際して再リマスターにも挑んだのですが、どんなイコライジングも蛇足にしかならず、手の加えようがありませんでした。
2014年に誕生し、瞬く間に完売・廃盤となった“THE DIVISION BELL TOUR”の至宝。『P.U.L.S.E』とは完全別公演でありつつ、１回のフルショウを完全体験できる唯一無二の超・極上ステレオサウンドボード・アルバムです。偉大なるPINK FLOYDのラスト・ツアーを“本物感”たっぷりに味わえる文化遺産級の大名盤。それこそ『対』や『P.U.L.S.E』と同価値となる永久保存プレス２CD。ここに堂々の復刻です。

The main press 2CD is a super sound stereo board album that represents “THE DIVISION BELL TOUR”. Unlike the official edition “P.U.L.S.E”, it ’s a great live album that you can experience through one full show. Originally, it is a super masterpiece that does not require bonuses, but it is also known that there is a complete video in this Torino performance. Therefore, it will be decided to finish the video work that further enhances the experience of the main press 2CD with “sight”.
That’s why this work is the same as the main press 2CD “Turin performance on September 13, 1994”. This is an audience shot. However, it is not just audience shooting. The sound is a single piece of the same transcendent stereo sound board as the main press 2CD, and upgraded to the ultimate specification.
As for the sound, I will leave it to the explanation in this volume, and the visual beauty that matches the superb voice is also amazing. This is a distant shot taken from the stand on the left side of the stage, but its master freshness is overwhelming. Although I think there is no doubt that this is a period video shoot, the dazzling image quality and vivid colors of dubbing marks and white line noise are amazing. Speaking of this tour, the feast of the light of the day became a hot topic, but the colorful lights praise the beauty as it was at that time, and the laser beam is also clear to the outline. そんなわけで、本作に収められているのは本編プレス２CDと同じ「1994年９月13日トリノ公演」。そのオーディエンス・ショットです。ただし、ただのオーディエンス撮影ではない。音声は本編プレス２CDと同じ超絶ステレオ・サウンドボードをシンクロさせ、究極仕様にアップグレードさせた１枚なのです。
そのサウンドについては本編の解説に譲るとして、その超極上音声に氏合ってしまう映像美も凄い。ステージ左側のスタンド席から撮影された遠景ショットなのですが、そのマスター鮮度が圧倒的。時代柄ビデオ撮影に間違いないとは思うものの、ダビング痕や白線ノイズのまるでない瑞々しい画質も鮮やかな発色も驚異的。このツアーと言えば、当代きっての光の饗宴が話題となったわけですが、色とりどりのライトは当時そのままの美しさを湛え、レーザー光線も輪郭までクッキリ。メンバーの表情アップと言うよりは全景のスケール感に特化した映像ですが、そのスペクタクルを遺憾なく味わわせてくれるのです。
