The shocking “true Brighton first day of June” that overturns the established theory has been discovered! A press CD that permanently saves the topical master sound source in a lossless manner is now available.

“Brighton performance on June 28, 1972” is engraved on this work. It is the audience recording. Some people are already coming with a pin. On this day, the name recording has been known so far, and our decision board “BRIGHTON 28TH JUNE 1972: 1ST GEN (Sigma 254)” has become a big standard. However, that’s just “the established theory”. This time, a new storyteller recording that overturns this established theory and conveys the true history was discovered.
“In order to explain the circumstances, I need some prior knowledge.” In order to organize the information related to “1972 Brighton”, let’s unravel the schedule at that time.

・ January 20-February 20: UK # 1 (16 performances) ← * BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972 REVISITED
・ March 6-13: Japan / Australia (10 performances)
・ March 29th + 30th: Manchester (2 performances)
“April 6th “Kumo no Kage” completed”
・ April 14-May 4: North America # 1 (18 performances)
・ May 18-22: Europe #1 (4 performances)
“May 31 “Madness” recording start”
・ June 28th + 29th: UK #2 (5 performances) ← Coco
・ September 8-30: North America #2 (17 performances)
・ October 20-22: UK # 3 (3 performances)
・November 10-December 10: Europe #2 (24 performances)

This is the 1972 PINK FLOYD. The January performance of “Madness” first performance is famous, but in addition to that, there was a Brighton performance, which counted all three times. There are also recordings left for each, so let’s check it out here.

●Brighton Dome performance in 1972
・January 20 “BRIGHTON JANUARY 1972 REVISITED”
・June 28 ← This work
・June 29th “BRIGHTON 28TH JUNE 1972: 1ST GEN” ← *Actually Koch

The above three performances. Until now, “BRIGHTON 28TH JUNE 1972: 1ST GEN”, which was supposed to be on June 28th, was actually “June 29th” the next day, and what was excavated this time was “the real June 28th”. . So, where did this new recording come from, and why did you know that it was “true June 28th”? This was also a strange story.
It all started with an audience recording that was posted online two years ago. The sound source titled “June 28th Brighton” is through, “Is it Brighton again?” “Isn’t it shorter than the previous one?” It was almost never talked about. However, this year, a maniac who listened and compared it reportedly said, “It’s actually a new recording,” and “And the performance is different.” It became a fuss at once, “What is this!” As a matter of fact, the verification is still ongoing, but it seems that the theory of “new excavation = true June 28th” and “conventional version = next June 29th” theory has been settled. What is the basis for that…

● Basis 1: Same performance as the official take
First of all, the performance is the same as the SBD take of the official “THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON: Immersion Box Set”. The extra track of the official BOX included the three songs “The Travel Sequence”, “The Mortality Sequence” and “Any Color You Like” from the Brighton performance, but this was different from the conventional audience. This itself has been considered a mystery, but it matches perfectly with this new excavation recording. Not only does this work serve as the basis for the first day of Brighton, but the mystery so far has been solved at once.
(By the way, the “Careful With That Ax, Eugene” and “Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun” video recorded in the same BOX are the same as the conventional master. The recording date was different between the extra track and the video version)

● Grounds 2: Poor performance
This new recording (this work) has more mistakes in performance than the previous version. As you can see from the schedule above, the Brighton performance in June was the first stage in a long time with a gap of more than a month. Mistakes to remember often occur in this work, and it is a performance that seems to be the first day.

It’s a new excavation full of indescribable things, but this work is the pinnacle of it. The net master mentioned above was a compressed sound source, but this work is different. It is a master brought by its own route, and it is the longest and highest peak board that recorded a direct transfer from the original master in a lossless manner. Moreover, not only is there simply no compression loss, but the pitch that was about 80% out of order is also strictly corrected. While the net sound source was about 42 minutes, this work is about 69 minutes.
And the master sound is also wonderful. According to the recording person, “The tape was damaged by listening to it many times on the car stereo,” and there are some deteriorations that seem to be true. However, the original recording is very nice, clear on. It seems that it was recorded “near the mixing desk in the first row of the center”, and it feels closer than the conventional master, and the subtleties of the performance can be clearly understood. Moreover, the freshness is tremendous because it is Omoto master. “BRIGHTON 28TH JUNE 1972: 1ST GEN”, which had rough dubbing marks that could not be wiped off, is also glossy.
Also, there is another interesting anecdote at the beginning. “Speak To Me” is not recorded and starts with a cut-in of “Breathe”, but this is what the recording person said, “When I started recording, I was found by the police and stopped. yes. I think it’s probably not a police officer but a security guard, but anyway the sound supports the vivid testimony of the recording person himself.

It is truly a “sound evidence”. A humble storyteller album that reveals the truth of history and conveys the evolution of wonderful music. A piece that permanently preserves the discovery of the century with the longest and highest quality of lossless sound. Please enjoy this state-of-the-art work to your heart’s content on the never-ending FLOYD archive journey.

まず第一に公式『THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON: Immersion Box Set』のSBDテイクと演奏が同じであること。
(ちなみに同BOX収録の「Careful With That Axe, Eugene」「Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun」映像は従来マスターと演奏が同じ。
