The legendary “original BLIZZARD” that created the historic masterpieces “BLIZZARD OF OZZ” and “DIARY OF A MADMAN”. Even in that precious live album, one piece with m is born when updating the best masterpiece. It will be released on a permanent storage press CD.
[Original era with daysly and car slakes] The engraving on this work is “October 22, 1980 Chelmsford Performance”. It is the best audience recording. Speaking of live performances during the Randy era, Rudy Third / Tommy Aldridge is the standard rhythm section, but “original BLIZZARD” is before that. They are four people who have “Bob Daisley & Lee Kerslake” which was the key to the two studio works. The live performance with the original four people is only in the very early days, and the record is even more special even in the special Randy era. It is said to be a miracle day when the color of the eyes of enthusiasts changes one by one. Of course, we have made a collection with the best master possible in our shop, and last year the masterpiece “DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980 (Zodiac 463)” became a big topic.Then, what other records are there? In the first place, this show was also famous for the fact that the famous recordings representing “Original BLIZZARD” were left. This work is the best master. First and foremost. Originally it was a long and famous recording, but this work has been recorded for a long time before and after the performance. As a matter of fact, there is a version of Running Lime that is longer than this one, but it is because the pitch is slow and the silence of the pause is left as it is. This work is the longest when the actual recording part is corrected to the normal pitch. And even more important is the sound that goes through the whole story. On, the thick core approaches Guigui without a sense of distance, and the details are clear accordingly. The direct feeling can be enjoyed even if it has already been released, but this work is also more natural. When the other performance “DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980” was unearthed, I called it “the best masterpiece” with a clear atmosphere that awakens my eyes, but this work has a sense of zero distance and a naturalness without distortion. I’m taking it back.
The direct sound is “BLIZZARD OF OZZ”, which is a live performance version and a trial version. The set may be out of order in the songs of “DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980”, but let’s reorganize it here only for the decisive board.

A legendary recording that regained the position of “King of the original BLIZZARD” by upgrading by the best master. In a sense, it is the best masterpiece of a live album that surpasses even “TRIBUTE” and approaches “BLIZZARD OF OZZ” itself. 【デイズリー＆カースレイクが揃ったオリジナル時代】
そんな本作に刻まれているのは「1980年10月22日チェルムスフォード公演」。その極上オーディエンス録音です。ランディ時代のライヴと言えば、リズム隊はルディ・サード／トミー・アルドリッジが定番ですが、「オリジナルBLIZZARD」とはそれ以前。スタジオ２作品でも要となった「ボブ・デイズリー＆リー・カースレイク」が揃った４人のことです。オリジナル４人でのライヴは極初期だけであり、その記録は特別なランディ時代でもさらに特別。１本１本でマニアの眼の色が変わる奇跡の日々とされています。もちろん、当店でも可能な限りのベスト・マスターでコレクション化しており、昨年も大傑作『DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980（Zodiac 463）』が大きな話題となりました。

【最高傑作の座を奪還した伝説の名録音】
これが「オリジナルBLIZZARD」の活動概要。この時期の基本は、まず公式サウンドボード。サウスハンプトン公演の「Goodbye To Romance」「No Bone Movies」が『TRIBUTE』に、「Mr. Crowley」「You Said It All」「Suicide Solution」がライヴEP『MR. CROWLEY』に採用されています。ただし、サウンドボードは公式／非公式を問わず、この数曲のみ。他はオーディエンス録音であり（本作を含めて）４公演が知られています。本作は、そんなオーディエンス録音でもベスト。この日のベストではなく、「オリジナルBLIZZARD」最高のフル・ライヴアルバムなのです。
そもそも、このショウは従来から「オリジナルBLIZZARD」を代表する名録音が残された事でも有名でした。本作は、そのベスト・マスターなのです。まず何よりも長い。もともと長尺で有名な録音でしたが、本作はさらに開演前や終演後も長く収録しています。実のところ、ランニングライムでは本作より長いバージョンもあるのですが、それはピッチが遅かったり、一時停止の無音がそのまま残されているのが原因。実際の録音パートを正常ピッチに直すと本作が最長なのです。そして、それ以上に重要なのが全編を貫くサウンド。オンで骨太な芯が距離感もなくグイグイ間近に迫り、それに伴ってディテールもクッキリとしている。そのダイレクト感は従来既発でも味わえましたが、本作はさらにナチュラルでもある。別公演の『DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980』が発掘されたときは目も醒めるクリアな空気感をもって「最高傑作」と呼んだのですが、本作はゼロ距離感覚の上に歪みのないナチュラルさで王座を奪い返しているのです。
そんなダイレクト・サウンドで描かれるのは、「生演奏版・現場体験版のBLIZZARD OF OZZ」。セットは『DEFINITIVE LONDON 1980』の曲順違いだったりもしますが、決定盤だけにここでも整理し直しておきましょう。
