Olivia Newton-John took the music scene by storm in the 70s and 80s with her many hit songs. A super definitive video work that covers all of her hit songs.
The true identity of this work is the out-of-print video work “VIDEO GOLD” series, which was once officially released. This is a collection of clips condensing big hit songs over 2 hours and 29 minutes. This video collection was released in 2005 as Olivia’s definitive album. The original release was divided into two works, “VIDEO GOLD I” and “VIDEO GOLD II”, and is a collection of all 39 clips from 1973’s “LET ME BE THERE” to 1998’s “BACK WITH A HEART”. . Its volume and digital master quality are unparalleled, and it is still loved by fans as a huge video that cannot be surpassed. However, even such a definitive edition could not survive the trend of distribution rather than software sales, and is now out of print. The situation has become such that even second-hand items command a premium. This work is a two-disc set that is a precise reproduction of such an official masterpiece.
When quality becomes the ultimate, the important point that remains is the recorded songs. Perhaps because “VIDEO GOLD” was intended to be sold separately, the delicious songs are spread over two discs, so let’s rearrange them in chronological order.

そんな本作の正体は、かつて公式リリースもされていた廃盤映像作『VIDEO GOLD』シリーズ。大ヒット曲群を２時間29分に渡って濃縮したクリップ集です。この映像集は、オリビアの決定盤として2005年にリリースされたもの。オリジナル・リリースでは『VIDEO GOLD I』『VIDEO GOLD II』の２作に分けられており、1973年『LET ME BE THERE』から1998年『BACK WITH A HEART』までのクリップ全39曲を一大集成。そのボリュームもデジタルのマスター・クオリティも比類なく、現在も超える物のない映像巨編としてファンに愛されています。しかし、それだけの決定盤もソフト販売より配信という時代の流れには勝てず、今や廃盤。中古でもプレミアが付く状況となってしまいました。本作は、そんなオフィシャル名作を精緻に復刻した２枚組なのです。
