Acoustic club tour “CONVENTION Tour” which became the fuse of the original reunion. A masterpiece video that allows you to experience the full show is now available.
This work contains two versions of one video. It is a 2-disc set with DISC 2 for the spectacular audience shot of “Detroit performance on July 22, 1995” and DISC 1 for the upgraded version in which the sound was replaced with a sound board. Speaking of 1995, the no-makeup KISS’s performance in Japan was memorable, and on the other hand, the turning point when “KISS UNPLUGGED”, which triggered the original restructuring, was also produced. First, let’s look back at the whole view and check the position of the show.
・January 24-31: Japan (5 performances)
* February 3-12: Australia (5 performances)
・ February 4-13: Australia (7 performances)
* June 16-25: North America # 1 (7 performances) ← * PHOENIX 1995
* July 2-August 4: North America #2 (18 performances) ← Coco

*August 9: Official “KISS UNPLUGGED” recording
《Production of “CARNIVAL OF SOULS” started in November》
*December 15: Hollywood performance
*Note: “*” marks unplugged performances, and “・” normal electric performances.
This is KISS in 1995. The electric regular concert “KISS MY ASS Tour” and the acoustic “CONVENTION Tour” were mixed. In the above, “Australia” is duplicated, but it is because the electric / acoustic was alternately paralleled. After that, they returned to their home country and devoted themselves to the “CONVENTION Tour”. A club tour was held in which they performed songs that they usually do not perform in front of the fans. The Detroit performance of this work was the 10th performance of such “North America # 2”.
This work, which was shot at such a site, is a superb view shot without any obstacles. It is taken from behind the audience seats on the left (closer to Gene Simmons), but I passed over the audience seats and looked directly at the stage. Nothing enters between the camera and the member. Basically, there is little camera work such as shaking left and right or zooming at a fixed angle (not zero), but thanks to that, the stable image is extremely easy to see. In the first place, the members of the “CONVENTION Tour” sit on stools and do not move, so there is essentially no need for camera work. From the fixed line of sight and the feeling of a special seat with no obstructions, it may be a shot of the person concerned taken for the document.
The audio further enhances the feeling of treasure in the video. The original sound of DISC 2 is also wonderful with plenty of closed room feeling of the club, but the sound board sound synchronized with DISC 1 is even more vivid. It is directly connected to the mix table, and the live performance with the core exposed is directly poured into the brain. The sound seems to match the image of the person concerned, and the feeling of behind-the-scenes seems to be choked with a sense of secrecy.
A full show with a sense of privateness, in which fans also participate, is depicted with such quality. A huge repertoire of 30 songs, including rare songs that you can never hear at a normal concert, will be rolled out one after another. Let’s organize the set here and realize the number of songs and the rare feeling.
70’s Classics (19 songs, 20 takes)
・Kiss Hell: Room Service/C’mon And Love Me/She/Rock Bottom
・Hell Corps: Do You Love Me/God Of Thunder/Detroit Rock City (★)/Do You Love Me (★)
・Jigoku no Rock Fire: Take Me/Hard Luck Woman/Calling Dr. Love/Mr. Speed
・Others: Nothin’ To Lose/Comin’ Home/Goin’ Blind/Got To Choose/Plaster Caster/Christine Sixteen/All American Man/Sure Know Something
●After the 80’s (10 songs)
・Kulik Era: Let’s Put The X In Sex(★)/Hide Your Heart/Forever/Domino/Spit
・Others: A World Without Heroes / I Still Love You / I Love It Loud (★) / Lick It Up (★) / Heaven’s On Fire (★)

… and it looks like this. More than half of it is a repertoire that can’t be heard even in “KISS UNPLUGGED”, and it’s a rush of treasure songs that makes it impossible to write out “○○ is extremely rare” and “△△ is the first time in years”.
What’s even more special is the participation of the audience. In the second half of the show, turn the vocal microphone to the audience and let them sing in the main. Especially interesting are “Let’s Put The X In Sex” and “Do You Love Me”. The former is Paul’s nomination? The girl who went up to the stage was still an innocent teenage girl. Her lyrics are also lyrics, and Gene is like, “Are you serious?” As the song progresses, it shows off a splendid lead vocal. In addition, the second “Do You Love Me” featuring a young hero is a must-see. A little drummer sits on a stool and shows off his intense drumming (unfortunately, the video cuts out in the middle of this song only).
A special tour “KISS CONVENTION” that was realized at the end of the no-makeup era. It is a video work that allows you to experience the precious scene from a special seat. DISC 1, where live performances enter your brain with soundboard audio, and DISC 2, where you can experience the feeling of a closed room in a club. By all means, please enjoy the heaping amount of hidden treasure songs with the fans on site.
★A set of 2 types of audience shots from the “July 22, 1995 Detroit performance”. The video is the same, DISC 1 is the upgraded version with the sound board replaced, and DISC 2 is the original audio version with a delicious closed room feeling of the club. You can enjoy an acoustic gig with 30 songs full of extremely rare songs in a super superb view with zero obstructions. You can experience the “CONVENTION Tour” where the audience can freely participate.
