JUDAS PRIEST in 2022 has decided to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and is striving for a 50th anniversary tour of glory. The latest recording, which is regarded as the best masterpiece, is now available.
It is “July 16, 2022 Vienne performance” that is imbued with such a work. It is a super tight superb audience recording recorded at an ancient theater historic site. In our shop, we have reported their 50th anniversary tour with many masterpieces, and this is the 6th work. This is the 2022 JUDAS PRIEST. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which is rumored to be co-starring with K.K. Downing, will be held during “North America # 2”, three months later. Currently in the “Europe” leg, the Vienne performance of this work was the 27th concert in the latter half.
This work recorded at such a show is a tight recording with “super”. It must be an audience recording released by the recorder, but even if you listen with a hodphone, there is no hall noise, and there is no cloudiness or bleeding, and the details are super sharp. The core with sharp edges reaches the ear straight without a sense of distance. Its vividness and strength can almost only be heard on the IEMs interception soundboard (although it seems to be different in reality). Twice
The reason for the vivid sound was probably the venue. The site is a venue set up in ancient Greek ruins, and the structure that opens fan-shaped toward the audience seats has no roof or walls that reflect sound. It directly picks up the zero-reverberation sound radiated toward the void. Of course, it is not as easy as “outdoor = superb”, and if the position is far from the PA, it will be squishy, ​​if the wind is strong, the sound will shake, and the wind sound will ruin everything. However, there are no such negative factors in this work. Only the umami of the outdoors can be enjoyed. It is the long-awaited superb recording that has finally reached the level of “sound board class”.
The latest full show of “50 HEAVY METAL YEARS Tour” is drawn with such a masterpiece sound. Since entering the European leg, the set has also been fixed, so let’s summarize it at the end.

これが2022年のJUDAS PRIEST。K.K.ダウニングとの共演も噂されるロックの殿堂セレモニーは「北米#2」の最中に行われますが、それは３ヶ月後。現在は「欧州」レッグ中であり、本作のヴィエンヌ公演はその後半27公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は「超」の付くタイト録音。録音者によって公開されたオーディエンス録音には違いないのですが、ホッドフォンで耳を澄ませてもホール鳴りがまったくなく、曇りも滲みもなしに細部の細部まで超シャープ。エッジが切り立った芯は距離感もなく耳元にまっすぐ届くのです。その鮮やかさ力強さは、ほぼほぼIEMs傍受サウンドボードにしか聞こえません（実際には違うようですが）。
それほどのビビッド・サウンドになった要因は、恐らく会場。現場はギリシア時代の古代遺跡に設営された会場でして、客席に向かって扇状に開いた構造には音を反射する屋根も壁もない。虚空に向かって放射される反響ゼロの出音をダイレクトに拾っているのです。もちろん「野外＝極上」というほどカンタンなものではなく、ポジションがＰＡから遠ければスカスカになってしまいますし、風が強ければ音が揺れたり、風音がすべてを台無しにしてしまったり。ところが、本作にはそうしたマイナス要素がまるでない。野外の旨みだけが美味しく味わえる。遂に「サウンドボード級」の域に到達した待望の極上録音なのです。
そんな最高傑作サウンドで描かれるのは、“50 HEAVY METAL YEARS Tour”の最新形となるフルショウ。欧州レッグに入ってからはセットも固定化されてきましたので、最後にまとめておきましょう。
