On May 26, 1974, when the fifth album “Walking Man” was released, New York recorded the Carnegie Hall performance with ultra-high quality stereo sound board recording. It is recorded with top-level sound that can be released as an official live board as it is. Backed by top-notch musicians such as Hugh McLaken, Don Glorinic, and Rick Marotta, including David Spinoza, who was also the producer of “Walking Man,” which was the first recording of all songs in New York and the participation of gorgeous guest musicians. Speaking of live performances at Carnegie Hall in 1974, the radio sound source on May 27 was famous, but these recorded an amazing new excavation stereo line recording that completely recorded the show on the 26th, the day before. ing. 1974年のカーネギー・ホールでのライブといえば5月27日のラジオ音源が有名であったが、これらはその前日である26日のショウを完全収録した驚くべき新発掘ステレオ・ライン録音を収録している。元々二日間行われたコンサートだったので両日録音されていてもまったく不思議ではなかったのだが、やはりといった感じだ。この驚くべき発掘を公開したのはやっぱり『WOLFGANG’S VAULT』サイトで、ここ最近の同サイトにおける発掘音源の中でもトップクラスの貴重音源であった。ここでのテイラーはデヴィッド・スピノザやヒュー・マクラッケンといった名手たちをバックに従えて由緒あるホールで堂々たる演奏を披露している。よってこの日の録音がラジオ音源に一切使用されなかったのが不思議なくらいである。終盤で当時テイラーと結婚していたカーリー・サイモンが登場するのは同様だが、「Carolina In My Mind」や「Knocking Round The Zoo」など翌日には披露されなかった曲が聴かれるのが嬉しい。初心者からマニアまで安心して聴ける優良音源だ。
