Ronnie James Dio’s last visit to Japan in 2007 HEAVEN & HELL. The world’s first public exhibition master who recorded the highlight performance is a new excavation. It is appearance in permanent preservation press 2CD.
The highlight is “October 20, 2007 Saitama Super Arena Performance”. It is a superb audience recording when it appeared as a large bird on “LOUD PARK 07”. HEAVEN & HELL have become Ronnie’s last beauty, but in the meantime, there were also productions of the last work “THE DEVIL YOU KNOW” and a show as DIO. This is a good opportunity, so let’s look back on the whole project activity and see where Loni’s last Japan tour is.

This is the walk from HEAVEN & HELL start to the last show of Ronnie’s life. “HEAVEN & HELL TOUR” with the best edition “THE DIO YEARS” in 2007, “BIBLE BLACK TOUR” with the festival “METAL MASTERS TOUR” in 2008, and Ronnie’s last work “THE DEVIL YOU KNOW” in 2009 It was three. Among them, what came to Japan was the end of the “HEAVEN & HELL TOUR”. The “LOUD PARK 07” appearance of this work was a concert that is the first day.
This work that recorded such a show is just the finest audience recording. Although there were some recordings from that time only in the large bird of the festival representing Japan, this work is a great masterpiece without doubt among them. After all, what made this work a thing of the legendary master who made the world the greatness of Japanese recording in the 70’s and 80’s. The great masterpieces “TOKYO 2007 (Zodiac 341)” and “OZZFEST JAPAN 2013 (Zodiac 342)” will be released simultaneously this week, but these are all works by the same person, and recordings that have continued in the 21st century without a touch I saw three eyes of the day. In fact, the sound of this work is fiercely clear, and the flowing performance has a dignified core and vivid details. Although Roni’s vocals are engraved with the audience’s testimony so as to control the Saitama Super Arena, conversely speaking, there is almost no customer record. The guitar stands out to the edge, and the bass shakes the five organs and kicks up the sixth base. The outline of one sound and one sound is very clear, and a sense of separation that does not mix even if they are intertwined is also excellent. At the beginning there is also a shake that changes the tone of the microphone a little, but it is also a trivial level of the phone. It is a sound of metallic luster that does not seem to be thought that it is hard to say that it is not “LOUD PARK” that famous record makers of the war also struggles.
It is the show of scorching that is drawn with such excellent sound. The point is the breath of loud cheers. Of course, the extremely thick playing sound surpasses the big audience, and does not give away a seat of the leading role by 1 mm. However, the enthusiasm that follows HEAVEN & HELL is great. That’s already, from the opening heart. The riffs of “The Mob Rules” raise the whistle and the calls of the wild “Rony!” Fly around, and the beat of smashing beats is raised by the voice of “Oi! Oi !! oi !!”. In general, it is not easy to say that it is a well-known game, and a huge chorus will occur at “I” of “DEHUMANIZER”. This fierce heat is a festival. There will be many old fans who have experienced BLACK SAB BATH’s first visit to Japan, but at the same time there are also a large number of young generation who feel that they are historical great people. Energy beyond that generation is swirling.
And, HEAVEN & HELL, which enthusiasm a few generations audience equally, is amazing. Only the famous songs from “Correzo!” Are concentrated from the three pieces of “HEAVEN AND HELL”, “MOB RULES” and “DEHUMANIZER”, and they are heavyweight sets with all the Ozzy times. Tony Ioomi’s riffs are sharp and Giser Butler’s bass is heavy but melodious. While Vinnie Apis’s drumming is just DIO, it’s also striking a sharp and flexible tom roll, but its weight is still in the BLACK SAB BATH mode (the colorful song mind does not extend to the heyday Bill Ward, but the style beauty number can be tightened Is still Vinnie). The song demon Ronii James Dio who dances majestically in order to follow such three people …. While all four have a strong individuality, they produce a perfect combination that no one else has. In the history of BLACK SAB BATH, countless musicians appeared and went away, but it is only the original organization, TYR era, and 4 people of this work that all have been meshed so far.

It is a great masterpiece live album which vacuum-packed Ronny’s last highlight performance with clear sound by legendary masters. Japan’s first new name board that the whole world first knows. Please enjoy it over and over again with the permanent storage press 2CD.

そのハイライトとは「2007年10月20日さいたまスーパーアリーナ公演」。“LOUD PARK 07”に大トリとして出演した際の極上オーディエンス録音です。HEAVEN & HELLはロニー有終の美ともなったわけですが、合間には遺作『THE DEVIL YOU KNOW』の製作やDIOとしてのショウもあった。良い機会ですので、ここでプロジェクトの活動全容を振り返り、ロニー最後のジャパンツアーのポジションを確かめてみましょう。

これがHEAVEN & HELL始動からロニー生涯最後のショウまでの歩み。2007年はベスト盤『THE DIO YEARS』に伴う“HEAVEN & HELL TOUR”、2008年はフェスツアー“METAL MASTERS TOUR”、2009年はロニーの遺作『THE DEVIL YOU KNOW』に伴う“BIBLE BLACK TOUR”の３本でした。その中で来日が実現したのは“HEAVEN & HELL TOUR”の終盤。本作の“LOUD PARK 07”出演は、その初日にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウを記録した本作は、まさに極上のオーディエンス録音。日本を代表するフェスの大トリだけに当時から幾つかの録音がありましたが、その中でも本作は紛れもなく大傑作。何しろ、本作をモノにしたのは70年代・80年代に日本録音の素晴らしさを世界に知らしめた伝説の名手。今週は大傑作『TOKYO 2007（Zodiac 341）』『OZZFEST JAPAN 2013（Zodiac 342）』も同時リリースとなりますが、これらはすべて同一人物による作品であり、人知れず21世紀にも続けられていた録音が一気に３本も日の目を見たのです。実際、本作のサウンドは猛烈にクリアで、流れ出る演奏は芯も逞しくディテールも鮮やか。さいたまスーパーアリーナを制圧するように轟くロニーのヴォーカルにオーディエンスの証は刻まれているものの、逆に言えば、それ以外に客録らしさがほとんどない。ギターはエッジまで切り立っていますし、ベースは五臓を揺らし、六腑を蹴り上げる。その１音１音の輪郭がクッキリとしていて、絡み合っても混じり合わない分離感も絶品。冒頭でややマイクの咆哮が変わるような揺れもあるものの、それもホンの些細なレベル。歴戦の名録音家たちも苦戦する“LOUD PARK”とは思えないとは思えない金属光沢のサウンドなのです。
そんな絶品サウンドで描かれるのは、灼熱のショウ。その要は大歓声の息吹。もちろん、極太な演奏音はすべてを大観衆を蹂躙しており、主役の座を１ミリも譲らない。しかし、そんなHEAVEN & HELLに付き従うような熱気が凄いのです。それはもう、オープニングから胸アツ。「The Mob Rules」のリフが咆哮を上げるや野太い「ロニー！」のコールが飛び交い、疾駆するビートを「Oi! oi!! oi!!」のかけ声が底上げする。一般的にはなかなか名盤とは言われない『DEHUMANIZER』の「I」でも凄まじい大合唱が起こるのです。この苛烈な熱さはフェスなればこそ。BLACK SABBATHの初来日を体験したオールド・ファンも多いのでしょうが、それと同時に彼らを歴史上の偉人と感じる若い世代も大挙している現場。その世代を超えたエネルギーが渦巻いているのです。
そして、そんな数世代オーディエンスを等しく熱狂させるHEAVEN & HELLこそが凄まじい。『HEAVEN AND HELL』『MOB RULES』『DEHUMANIZER』の３枚から「コレぞ！」の名曲だけが濃縮され、オジー時代を一切配した重厚なセット。トニー・アイオミのリフはどこまでも鋭く、ギーザー・バトラーのベースは重々しくもメロディアスに乱舞。ヴィニー・アピスのドラミングもDIOさながらにシャープで自在なタムロールをぶち込みつつ、その重さはやはりBLACK SABBATHモード（多彩な歌心では全盛期ビル・ワードに及びませんが、様式美ナンバーをキリッと引き締められるのはやはりヴィニーです）。そんな３人を従えるように威風堂々と咆哮する歌鬼ロニー・ジェイムズ・ディオ……。４人が４人とも強烈な個性を放ちながら、誰とも替えの効かない完璧なコンビネーションを生み出している。BLACK SABBATH史には無数のミュージシャンが現れては去っていきましたが、ここまで全員が見事に噛み合っているのはオリジナル編成とTYR時代、それに本作の４人しかないでしょう。
