Headless, the highest jazz collector’s label, has reissued the precious titles of handmade labels for collectors, which were distributed only in a small part, from the official master who took over. Hawk is here. A rare title is re-appearing at an affordable price with a reissue emblem and a newly refurbished back jacket.
It is a live sound source of Five Peace Band, a group formed by Chick Corea and John McLaughlin who led the jazz fusion world as Return to Forever and Mahavishnu Orchestra in the 70’s. Good audience recording sound source. The late set on the 5th and the early set on the 6th of November are recorded, but the dates are reversed, but the 6th is recorded first so that the set arrangement will be better. Gayle Moran has joined the members of Kenny Garrett, John Patitucci, and Brian Blade, so it’s a little tic.

70年代にリターン・トゥ・フォーエヴァーとマハヴィシュヌ・オーケストラとしてジャズ・フュージョン界を牽引したチック・コリアとジョン・マクラフリンがタッグを組んだグループ、ファイブ・ピース・バンドのライヴ音源です。良好オーディエンス収録音源。11月の5日のレイト・セットと6日のアーリー・セットを収録していますが、セットの並びが良くなるように、日付けは逆になりますが6日を先に収録しています。ケニー・ギャレットやジョン・パティテュッチ、ブライアン・ブレイドのメンバーにゲイル・モランも加わっており、ややチック寄りな編成か。
