From the Japan tour accompanying the 2010 “LAST LOOK AT EDEN”, a live performance at Osaka Namba Hatch will be released as a special gift title using a high-quality original master on March 28th.
The music produced by Europe after the reunion is heavy and groovy, and this musicality has caused controversy for fans who love them in the 1980s every time the album is released. I think that many Japanese old fans disagree, but Sweden, the home country, has also ranked first in the work after the reunion, and it is still a national band. Still, what Japanese fans still want is melodious Europe.
“LAST LOOK AT EDEN”, the third work after the reunion, was a work that was relatively well received by Japanese fans who advocated such a disapproval.
The good songs from the albums such as the 21st century version of “The Final Countdown”, the title song “Last Look At Eden”, the aggressive and uptempo “The Beast”, and the beautiful ballad “New Love In Town” are at this time. It was also shown live and has become a highlight.
Also, this live has a great choice of songs before the reunion (80’s and 90’s), the song selection “Seven Doors Hotel” and “Ninja” unique to Japan, “Seventh Sign” that was unveiled after a long time, the daily song of the day. “Stormwind” was chosen as the song, and the biggest surprise was the band version of the famous ballad “Carrie” that John Norum said he didn’t want to play stubbornly after the reunion.
You can enjoy it with a wonderful set list that can be said to be the best at this time, which is a good mix of songs after reunion and songs before it.
The voice of Joey Tempest, who was not good at the Osaka performance, is often heard on this day.
Needless to say, the back performance is rock solid. The play of John Norum’s beloved Gary Moore (who was still alive in 2010) is also clear.
Recording is said to be a reserved seat on the 2nd floor on this day as well. You can enjoy the whole story with clear and powerful sound without any annoying audience noise. The balance of each instrument is also the highest level. Especially, it captures the sound of John Norum’s thick and sticky guitar very beautifully. The direct feeling of the whole sound is also wonderful, yet you can feel the spaciousness and air feeling peculiar to audience recording, which is exactly the ideal audience recording. From the 2010 Japan tour, a new decisive board has appeared.
