October 1975. Eric Clapton, from his second Japan tour, finally discovered the complete recording stereo audience master of the Osaka Festival Hall performance on October 22, which had not been released for 44 years!
The master, which was handed over directly from the recording person, was an outstandingly clear and expansive stereo recording, and surprisingly, it kept its freshness as it was at the time! (The first and second tracks are monaural recordings.) Please be assured that the sound source other than this box is not the master!
Speaking of this day, the stereo audience source released by the legendary OG label in an analog 3LP box in early 1976 is famous. The master of the OG label did not come out and never saw the light of day, so it was not possible to listen to the full version on the first day of the 22nd. However, after 44 years, it has finally come true! This recording person was recording not only on the 22nd but also on the 23rd of the next day. This box set was mastered and finished by the professional staff of Midvalley, who took over the master cassette tape directly.
At that time, you can fully enjoy the thrilling fast-playing play with the gloomy tone of the Fender Telecaster that Clapton used only for this performance in Japan. This clarity allows you to clearly hear the contrast with George Terry, the second guitarist who played Strat. Was Clapton in Osaka in 1975 so cool, was it so amazing? Moreover, the set list is different in two days! This is worth listening to.
Go back in time to the Festival Hall with as much volume as you can afford. In addition, the mint OG analog box owned by Mid Valley has been perfectly traced from high-end analog equipment, completely removed the needle sound, and remastered to achieve complete digitalization with the finest sound! I just have to listen to this. “BELL BOTTOM BLUES”, which always had skipping due to press mistakes, has been edited with a new sound source and there is no discomfort at all!
OG’s existing CD was patched with the lyrics of the second song, so it was full of discomfort. It is a legendary gem that is said to not come out on the used board market anymore, and even if it does come out, the premium price will not fall below 50,000 yen. You can finally listen to it easily. Even if you listen to the OG master again, there is no doubt that you will groan at Clapton’s tremendous play in Osaka in 1975. Albert King’s “AS THE YEARS GO PASSING BY” is a rare song that has been played only on this day in Clapton’s live history! Moreover, without this song, the introduction of “Ito no Lyra” may not have been born. In that sense, it’s an important cover, so it’s a must-listen!
The box jacket is also a complete reproduction of the red and blue boxes released by the OG label! (At the time, it was said that the number of blue boxes produced was overwhelmingly smaller than that of red boxes.) In addition, it was supposed to be used for the OG box jacket from the person who secretly filmed on the 22nd at that time. Get the original photo. In other words, it can be said that it is a “phantom OG box jacket” version! Therefore, there are a total of 3 types of box jackets. What sells is the 75-year photo version of the correct “phantom” of historical research, but it is hard to throw away the red and blue boxes that are faithful to the original. 1975年10月。エリック・クラプトン、二度目のジャパン・ツアーから、44年間公開されることのなかった10月22日大阪フェスティバルホール公演の完全収録ステレオ・オーディエンスマスターを遂に発掘！
録音者から直々に譲り受けたマスターは抜群にクリアで広がりのあるステレオ録音で、驚くべきことに当時のままの鮮度を保っていた！（1曲目と2曲目の序盤まではモノラル録音です）このボックス以外の音源はマスターではありませんのでご安心下さい！
この日と言えば、伝説のOGレーベルが1976年初頭にアナログ3LPボックスでリリースしたステレオ・オーディエンスソースが有名ですが、それは翌日公演との抜粋・合体版として3LPに収録された上に、これまでOGレーベルのマスターは門外不出、一切日の目を見ることがなかったため、初日22日の完全版を聴くことは叶いませんでした。ところが44年の時を経て、遂にそれが実現しました！22日のみならず、翌日の23日もこの録音者はレコーディングを敢行しておられました。そのマスター・カセット・テープを直に譲り受け、ミッドバレイ社が誇るプロスタッフがマスタリングを行い仕上げたのが本ボックスセットです。
当時クラプトンがこの来日公演だけで使用したフェンダー・テレキャスターのグルーミーなトーンによるスリリングな速弾きプレイをたっぷり味わうことができます。ストラトを弾いたセカンド・ギタリスト、ジョージ・テリーとの対比もはっきり聴き分けられるこの鮮明さ。75年大阪でのクラプトンはこんなにかっこよかったのか、こんなに凄かったのか。しかもセットリストが2日間で違う！これは聴きごたえあり、です。

OGの既発CDは二番の歌詞をパッチしてあるので違和感満載でした。今や中古盤市場に出てこない、もし出てきてもプレミア価格は5万円を下らないと言われる伝説の逸品。それを遂に手軽に聴くことができるのです。改めてOGマスターで聴いても、75年大阪でのクラプトンの凄まじいプレイの連続に唸ること間違いなし。二日間でセットリストも異なりアルバート・キングの”AS THE YEARS GO PASSING BY”はクラプトンのライヴ史上この日のみしかプレイされていない激レア曲です！しかもこの曲がなければ「いとしのライラ」のいんとろが産まれなかったかもしれません。そういう意味でも重要なカバーなので必聴です！
これほど製作側としても気合の入ったボックスなれば、ボックスのジャケットもOGレーベルがリリースした赤箱・青箱を完全再現！（当時、青箱は赤箱に比べ圧倒的に製作数が少ないと言われていました）それに加え、当時22日に隠密撮影を敢行した人物より本来OGのボックスのジャケットに採用されるはずだったオリジナル写真を入手。言わば「幻のOGボックスジャケ」バージョンと言えるでしょう！従ってボックスのジャケットは計3種類あります。売れているのは時代考証の正しい「幻」の75年写真バージョンですが、オリジナルに忠実な赤箱・青箱も捨て難い。（マニアは３種類ともいかがですか）ニューマスター2DAYSで4枚、プラスOGボックスの再現盤2枚の計6枚組CDで怒涛のリリースです！ボックスは手触りが素晴らしい最高級ベルベット・コーティング仕上げです！あるうちに買っとかないと、あとで泣いても知らないよン。
