Named Taper Daspyknows’s Schopes MK4 recording for three consecutive Clapton Royal Albert Hall performances in May. We will release the press sound board which can permanently save the best sound quality on May 15th on the 2nd day! Anyway, this Alberta is such an excellent performance that I can say the best I have ever played in Clapton’s career so far. Only Clapton plays acoustics. Others have joined the band with the usual instruments, and have created a wonderfully tasteful performance while also incorporating the organ solo. Not only the meaning that it was played merely irregularly, it is one song with a great deal of listening. There have been other changes as well. He returned to the Little Queen of Spades on behalf of Five Long Years, and that Encore was replaced by Prince You’s Accure Me from Purple Rain. Clapton has had such a change since the first day on the second day. Clapton has been fixing the set list since the 1985 tour, but from a fan’s point of view, it was a change that made me say, “What kind of change in my heart is it?” Furthermore, in the encore, ally guitarist Jimmy Vaughn whom Clapton appointed as the opening act has jumped and joined. Here you can enjoy a solo solo performance of Vaughan, Doyle and Clapton. Speaking of things that didn’t change, I was happy that I played Layla in the electric version following the first day. Wonderful Tonight and Cocaine were still dropped from the set. In this London tour, did the energetic Clapton prefer the electric Layla even though the difficulty of the performance was higher than that of the corps at Cocaine. 名テーパーDaspyknowsのSchopes　MK4録音による5月のクラプトンのロイヤル・アルバート・ホール連続3公演。2日目の5月15日も極上音質を永久保存できるプレス盤でリリース致します！Daspyknowsのコメントによりますと、この日の録音ポジションはフロア席前から15列目のど真ん中だったそうですが、よく聴くと初日同様、この極上音質でもロイヤル・アルバート・ホール特有のホール鳴りは捉えられていました。それを抑えるマスタリングで、自然に全体の演奏が締まった印象にしました。これで2日目の音質は完全無欠になりました。さて、それではここで今年に入ってのクラプトンのライブ活動歴を振り返ってみましょう。

こうしてみると、地元のロンドンよりも日本での公演数の方が多かったのですね。しかもかつては年の初めにはまず地元でのコンサートから始めていたクラプトンが、まず日本で今年のライブ活動のスタートを切りました。クラプトンがいかに日本が好きなのかの証左ですが、公演数が多かったこと、そして今年初めてのライブステージであったことで、日本公演後半は疲れがプレイに出てしまったクラプトンでした。そう思うと、3公演くらいが彼にはちょうどいい具合なのかもしれません。このロンドンでのクラプトンは3日間とも元気いっぱいでした。休養期間も日本公演から1ヶ月ありました。休養十分で望んだロイヤル・アルバート・ホール公演2日目の聴きどころは、初日からの意外な、そしてみた魅力的な変化でした。オープニングナンバーが、前日のQue sera seraに代わりMotherless Childrenになったこと（初日にはたまたま特別な意味合いがありました）、アコースティックセットにおいてChange The Worldに代わりAlbertaが演奏されたこと（1998年ツアー、カナダのアルバータ公演でサプライズプレゼント的に演奏して以来21年ぶり）でした。しかしこのAlberta、なぜ急に演奏する気になったのでしょうか？まさか、ロイヤル・アルバート・ホールでのコンサートだからか？（霜降り明星の粗品風に）「ダジャレ！」。それはともかく、このAlbertaはこれまでのクラプトンのキャリアで演奏されてきた中でも最高と言ってもよいほどの秀逸な演奏なのです。アコースティックを弾くのはクラプトンだけ。他はバンドがいつもどおりの楽器で加わり、オルガンソロも織り込みながら素晴らしく味わいのあるパフォーマンスを成立させているのです。単にイレギュラーに演奏されたという意味合いのみならず、聴きごたえのある1曲となっています。他にも変化はありました。Five Long Yearsに代わりLittle Queen of Spadesに戻ったこと、そしてアンコールがプリンスのPurple RainからBefore You Accuse Meに代わったことです。2日目で初日からこれほどの変化をつけてきたクラプトン。1985年ツアー以降、セットリストを固定してきたクラプトンですが、ファンからすれば、「一体どういう心境の変化なの？」と言いたくなるほどの変化でした。さらにアンコールには、クラプトンがオープニングアクトに指名した盟友ギタリスト、ジミー・ヴォーンが飛入り参加しています。ここではヴォーン、ドイル、クラプトンと三人のギターソロ競演を楽しめます。変化しなかったことと言えば、嬉しいことに初日に続きLaylaをエレクトリックバージョンで演奏したこと。Wonderful TonightとCocaineはこの日もセットから落とされたままでした。今回のロンドン公演では、元気いっぱいのクラプトンはCocaineで迎える大団円よりも、演奏の難度が高くともエレクトリックLaylaの方を好んだということでしょうか。初日とはまた違った趣きのある2日目公演。本音源もファクトリープレスの本盤で永久保存してお楽しみください。
