Introducing the tape “Mike Millard Tape” recorded by Mike Millard, a taper familiar to fans with the outstanding technology of audience recording. Several sound sources based on Mike Millard tape have been released from the same label, but if you look closely, there are two types, “Brushed Mike Millard Tape” and “Legendary Mike Millard Tape”. Did you notice that there is? Not all Mike Millard tapes have perfect sound quality, and some of them have room for improvement, and the “Brushed” series has been significantly improved. Originally, it is almost perfect and there is not much room for improvement, and the “Legendary” series is the one that has been kept to a minimum such as light editing between songs.
This time, Clapton is coming from the “Legendary” series. The 1974 live that was revived after a medical treatment period. A set list that started with the unexpected “Smile” and called “Let It Grow” and “I Shot the Sheriff” during the laid-back and charming masterpiece album “461 Ocean Boulevard”. Former boss John Mayall appears at the end. The sound source is a little rough as a mirrored sound source, but the guitar and vocals are well recorded. “Get Lady” and “Crossroad”, which were connected by forcible editing, were separated by fade editing, and that was the difference between the discs. His noise is suppressed a little.

オーディエンス録音の卓越した技術でファンにはお馴染みのテーパー、マイク・ミラード氏により録音されたテープ『マイク・ミラード・テープ』登場です。同レーベルからマイク・ミラード・テープをマスターにした音源が複数リリースされておりますが、よく見ると『ブラッシュド・マイク・ミラード・テープ』と『レジェンダリー・マイク・ミラード・テープ』の二種類があることにお気付きでしょうか。マイク・ミラード・テープも全てが完璧な音質なわけではなく、中にはかなり手を加えて改良の余地があるものもあり、大幅に手を加えて改良されたものが『ブラッシュド』シリーズ。元々完璧に近く改良の余地があまり無く、曲間等の軽い編集など最低限にとどめてあるものが『レジェンダリー』シリーズとなります。
今回は『レジェンダリー』シリーズからクラプトン登場です。療養期間を経て復活した1974年のライヴ。レイドバックした魅力満載の名作アルバム『461オーシャン・ブルーバード』期で、意外な『スマイル』から始まり『レット・イット・グロウ』や『アイ・ショット・ザ・シェリフ』と言ったセットリスト。締めには元ボスのジョン・メイオール登場。ミラード音源としてはやや粗い音質ですがギターやヴォーカルは良く録られています。無理やりな編集で繋げられていた『ゲット・レディ』と『クロスロード』をそれぞれフェード編集で切り分けて、そこをディスクの別かれ目としました。ヒス・ノイズを少し抑えてあります。
