On April 3, 1976, New York carefully connected the bottom-line live concerts that were broadcast on Japanese FM every few songs at that time, and additionally recorded the Angkor “Be My Baby” that had not been broadcast in Japan. It is a release as a complete version. The sound quality is very good and it will definitely be the definitive edition of the day’s performance. In 1975, he started his solo career, released the album “Sunrise”, and in 1976, the single “All By Myself” became the second place in the United States. Live is now available on a high quality sound board. The back is the same member as the album, and the set list is the best of Eric Carmen, with the songs of the album and the songs of the Raspberries era interwoven.

1976年4月3日、ニューヨークはボトムラインでのライブを、当時日本のFMで数曲ごとに放送されたものを丁寧に繋ぎ、さらに日本では未放送だったアンコール「Be My Baby」も追加収録した、完全版としてのリリースです。音質は大変素晴らしく、この日の公演の決定版になることは間違いありません。75年にソロとしての活動を開始し、アルバム「サンライズ」をリリースし、76年にはシングル「All By Myself」が全米2位になるなど、のりにのっているこの時期のエリック・カルメンのライブが高音質サウンドボードで登場です。バックもアルバムと同じメンバーで、セットリストもアルバムの曲を中心にラズベリーズ時代の曲も織り交ぜベスト・オブ・エリック・カルメンという内容になっています。

当時を知るロック・ファンならば、ボトムライン公演を放送していたFM番組の印象深いジングルが懐かしく脳裏に蘇るだろう。本盤はその番組のエアチェックテープが元になっている。ただし、アナウンスやジングル、コマーシャルをカットし、丁寧に編集されている。ライヴは1976年4月3日ということで、「All By Myself」が全米2位獲得の活躍を受けての放送だろう。Overnight Sensation、Starting Overと立て続けにラズベリーズのナンバーを演奏。Slow Downはラリー・ウィリアムズのナンバーだが、ビートルズで有名なナンバー。On Broadwayはバリー・マンの代表的ナンバー。ドリフターズのヴァージョンが1963年に全米9位となり、この時点ではジョージ・ベンソンはまだ取り上げていないが、1978年に全米8位となる。カルメンは75年のソロデビュー作で取り上げており、ニューヨーク公演にはもってこいの選曲だ。Go All The Wayは再びラズベリーズのナンバー。アンコールのBe My Babyはロネッツの大ヒットナンバー。これは放送が無かったので別テイクから補完している。
