From the US tour when “Ocean Rain” was released in 1984, the Boston performance on March 30 was completely recorded with an official-class ultra-high-quality stereo sound board recording. Introducing the strongest high-quality board that represents the heyday of Echo & the Bunnymen, which was very popular in Japan at that time. Ian McCulloch’s vocals with a strong presence, as well as the original band sound with a unique color that combines a psychedelic guitar sound and straight drums and bass, are exciting enough to listen to now. The unique sprinting feeling represented by Back Of Love, The Cutter, etc. is exactly unique to this band, and even in a simple sound image, the wonderful ensemble performance that is intricately intertwined is amazingly powerful. Although they were called “British Doors”, each song has a different charm, and the playing ability of the members who can express them well, including the late Pete’s drums, is really wonderful, and every song is perfect for listening. .. Stones Satisfaction will be inserted in Do It Clean for this day. As the strongest live album of Echo & the Bunnymen, a must-listen album that is sure to become a standard in the future is now available.

Not to mention the sound quality, the content is wonderful. As stated in the manufacturer’s release info, it was the SB sound source during the 1984 “Ocean Rain” tour, and Bunnies will visit Japan for the first time on this tour. The Japanese performance was also broadcast on FM at that time, and there were many boots using that sound source, but I’m glad to hear live versions of Villiers Terrace, Heads Will Roll, and A Promise that did not get on the broadcast. Heads Will Roll’s Will’s psychedelic guitar is wonderful, and Mac’s voice shows a clear difference from the recent decline. Like the Japan performance, Crocodile’s comes with Light My Fire and Do It Clean comes with Satisfaction.

Back Of Love、The Cutterなどに代表される独特の疾走感はまさにこのバンドならではのものであり、シンプルな音像の中にも、複雑に絡み合った見事なアンサンブル演奏は凄い迫力です。

日本公演と同じくCrocodiles はLight My Fire付きでDo It CleanはSatisfaction付き。
