The performance of “April 27, 2023: Hiroshima Ueno Gakuen Hall” is imbued in this work. It is a transcendental audience recording that vacuum-packed the whole story. Our shop has already reported the latest tour with two masterpieces “BUDOKAN 2023 (Uxbridge 1908)” and “YOKOHAMA 2023 (Uxbridge 1909)”, but this work is the best masterpiece apart from that superb recording. All 8 performances above. This number of performances has been realized since 1981 when it was in the middle of a big hit. It was a magnificent Japan tour because it was the 50th anniversary that Michael McDonald also participated. Under such circumstances, the two works mentioned above were early shows that did not come to Japan. The Hiroshima performance of this work was the opposite final day.
This work, which was recorded at such a show, has a transcendent sound that can be called a masterpiece. If you remember “BUDOKAN 2023” and “YOKOHAMA 2023”, you may think “Isn’t it called an official audience!” In fact, I thought that there was no such thing as a sound better than that as our shop, but it has been realized. For those who have experienced the previous two works, it is “all in full”. “BUDOKAN 2023” had a wonderful high-pitched tone, and “YOKOHAMA 2023” had a rich sound with a rich mid-low range. On the other hand, this work is all amazing. The power of the deep bass and the generous response of the midrange are similar to “YOKOHAMA 2023”, and the clear high notes that penetrate and extend beyond “BUDOKAN 2023”. Moreover, it is harmonious because each is sounding in the same space, and the natural feeling of the ensemble is unwavering.
For those who have not experienced the previous two works, it is an “official masterpiece”. Please play some official live album at hand. Yes, it sounds as good or better than that. Even if you say “official live board” in one word, there are various things from masterpieces to excavated items, but this work is at a level where you can fight against any masterpiece. There is no sense of distance at all, and if the details are fine, the sense of separation is perfect. It is a transcendental sound that can not be found even if you search for Ara with all your might.
“There’s a reason why it sounded like that.” In fact, it is the new star taper that is currently hot topic that made this work a thing. For example, you can understand the person who recorded DEEP PURPLE’s “HIROSHIMA 2023: DEFINITIVE MASTER (Darker Than Blue 321/322)” or Eric Clapton’s “BUDOKAN 2023 2ND NIGHT (Tricone 217/218)”. Uka Both are super-name recordings that shined on the throne of “No. This work is the latest bullet in such an up-and-coming recording artist collection, and it is a live album that makes the gold sign shine even more dazzling.
It is precisely because of the 50th anniversary that the full show is depicted with such a masterpiece sound. The set was fixed for this visit to Japan, but this work is a new masterpiece that will be handed down for a long time in the future. For the sake of record, let’s repeat it here.

以上の全８公演。これだけの公演数が実現したのは、大ヒット真っ直中だった1981年以来。マイケル・マクドナルドも参加した50周年だからこその堂々たるジャパン・ツアーでした。そんな中で前述した２作は来日間もない序盤のショウ。本作の広島公演はその反対となる最終日でした。
そんなショウ出記録された本作は、まさに最高傑作と呼ぶに相応しい超絶サウンド。『BUDOKAN 2023』『YOKOHAMA 2023』をご記憶の方なら「公式級オーディエンスとか言ってじゃないか！」と思われるかも知れません。実際、当店としてもアレ以上のサウンドなどあり得ない……と思っていたのですが、実現してしまったのです。前２作を体験された方向けに申しますと「全部盛り」。『BUDOKAN 2023』は高音のヌケが素晴らしく、『YOKOHAMA 2023』は中低音まで豊かなリッチ・サウンドでした。それに対して本作は全部スゴい。重低音の迫力、中音域のたっぷりとした手応えは『YOKOHAMA 2023』に通じ、そこから突き抜けて伸びるクリアな高音は『BUDOKAN 2023』も超える。しかも、それぞれが同一空間で鳴っているからこそ調和が取れており、アンサンブルのナチュラル感も揺るがないのです。
