As a gift item, Eric Clapton released the outtake collection of the official live record of Derek & the Domino’s formed in 70, and the customer said, “I want you to release such a wonderful sound source on the press board”. Many requests were received. Originally it was a sound source uploaded to the internet, so I made it a gift item, but from the viewpoint of Clapton fans who understand the value and excellence of the sound source well, it is free, but it is better than CDR. Even if you have the desire to collect with a highly sensitive press CD, it may be possible. It was such a shocking sound source, so if you are our shop that realized the only upgraded version that adjusted the pitch deviation that was occurring in the original sound source even though it was subtle, it would be more appropriate to release it on the press board I think it was. In response to that request, this week we will release this sound source on the press board! What’s more, if you want to release it on a press CD anyway, it is a final edition of Fillmore that covers all of it, and with this one set, you can enjoy the official and outtake all at once. The result is this board!

As I mentioned in the review of gift items, this outtake sound source, including the surprising take that Eric Clapton acknowledged that it was the best band in his career, the first public release of Derek & the Dominos in Japan. It was a live sound source. Moreover, it was a master stereo quality with a crisp stereo sound board that compares favorably with the sound quality of the official live board. Domino’s official live album “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILLMORE” were produced from both late shows at Fillmore East on October 23, 24, 1970, but the complete original of both days. Some of the included stereo sound board sources and the October 23 early show stereo sound board sources have been leaked from the parties and have been released underground in the past. Complementing the official live album “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILL MORE”, this project has a lot of fun compared to the official version, and the conclusion is a 4-disc set. In other words, “IN CONCERT” will be a press CD of the high quality board of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab which was lined up in the recent gift (discs 1 & 2), but it will not be recorded there and later “LIVE AT THE FILL MORE” will be released 3 songs recorded by replacing and 4 songs additionally recorded as enlarged version were put on one CD (disc 3), and this outtake collection was recorded on disc 4 by press CD, this one set is Dominos It was a project that you can enjoy the Fillmore of the highest sound quality easily. This time, the professional staff of our shop examined the songs of “IN CONCERT” and “LIVE AT THE FILL MORE”, and it turned out that 20% of the semitone was high for all takes. It’s unclear why it was intentional at the time of production, or it was an unexpected event, but it turned out to be an incredible result that the pitch of the official take was high. Therefore, at this store, all official takes were returned to the pitch that was originally played and recorded. The pitch of the outtake collection this time was also 20% higher than a semitone, so we have corrected it to the original pitch. In other words, on this board, you can listen to the entire volume at the original pitch that Dominos was playing at Fillmore East. And, of course, as you already know, this outtake collection wasn’t just about collecting official and non-dubbing takes, but Track 4’s Blues Power was a never-taken take. There was a shock. Genuinely This take is the first appearance and the first excavation. Then, even from this one song, I am worried about the identity of the person who uploaded this sound source to DIME, so who could upload such a sound source? Perhaps it was probably the engineer or staff member at the time who was able to obtain a copy of the original Domino-related master of Fillmore. Also, because the mix difference of the 23rd take has been mixed into the 24th set, it was misunderstood and believed that it was the 24th take for many years, Bottle Of Red Wine’s true 24th late show take is, I finally saw the light of day this year, and this person has generously picked it up. In other words, “he” may be the person who holds the master tape for the early show on the 23rd and the master tape for the late show on the 23rd & 24th. Even if you are a enthusiast who collects all the existing releases of Domino’s Fillmore Live, you can not ignore this board as something that you can enjoy with a different concept. In addition, if you are a general Clapton fan or rock fan, you will be able to enjoy all the songs on the official live version, as well as the outtakes that allow you to listen to the different ad lib play and performance. This “Outtake Collection” contains a terrible performance that can be asserted that it was not killed from the official board because the performance was inferior to the listener. Clapton singing and singing, dominos burning up are here. This is a collection of all the official takes that convey the true value of Derek and the Dominos, and this outtake collection that complements it and further shows how Dominos was an excellent band. Only our shop will release the definitive version of “Dominos Fillmore” which attracts enthusiasts with a press CD adjusted to normal pitch. Fixed a high pitch of 20% of semitones on all tracks. An acoustic piano is included, so it should be suitable. For the first time in history, the 70-year-old Fillmore Live can be heard at the correct pitch and speed as it was played on the day.

ギフトアイテムでエリック・クラプトンが70年に結成したデレク・アンド・ザ・ドミノスの公式ライブ盤のアウトテイク集をリリースしましたところ、お客様からは「こんな凄い音源は是非プレス盤でリリースしてほしい」というリクエストが多数寄せられました。元はネットにアップロードされた音源でしたのでギフトアイテムとさせていただいたのですが、音源の貴重度と優秀性をよく理解されるクラプトンファンの方々からすれば、無料とは言えCDRよりも保存性の高いプレスCDでこそコレクトしたいという欲望を持たれたとしても無理からぬことかもしれません。それほどの衝撃的音源だったわけで、微細ながらも元音源に発生していたピッチの狂いをアドジャストした唯一のアップグレード・バージョンを実現した当店ならば、よりプレス盤でリリースするに相応しいと思っていただいたのだと思います。そのご要望にお応えし、今週はこの音源をプレス盤でリリースすることに致しました!しかも、どうせプレスCDでリリースするなら、その全てをカバーする名実ともにフィルモアの決定版、これ1セットがあれば、オフィシャルとアウトテイクが一挙に楽しめる企画に致しました。その結果が本盤です!

ギフトアイテムのレビューでも述べたのですが、このアウトテイク音源、エリック・クラプトンが自身のキャリア上において最高のバンドだったと自認するデレク・アンド・ザ・ドミノスの本邦初公開となる驚きのテイクを含むライブ音源だったのです。しかもオフィシャルライブ盤の音質に比較しても何ら遜色のない、バリバリのステレオ・サウンドボード、マスタークオリティでした。ドミノスのオフィシャルライブ盤「IN CONCERT」や「LIVE AT THE FILLMORE」は、70年10月23日、24日のフィルモア・イーストでの両レイトショーから製作されたのですが、その大元の両日のコンプリート収録のステレオサウンドボードソースと10月23日のアーリーショーのステレオサウンドボードソースの一部は関係者から流出しており、過去にアンダーグラウンドでリリースされてきました。流出している音源の内容を今一度記しておきましょう。

オフィシャルライブ盤「IN CONCERT」と「LIVE AT THE FILLMORE」を補完しつつ、オフィシャルバージョンとの聴き比べの楽しみもある企画、その結論が4枚組となりました。つまり「IN CONCERT」は、先般のギフトでもラインナップしたモービル・フィデリティ・サウンド・ラボの高音質盤をプレスCD化するとともに(ディスク1&2)、そこには収録されず後に「LIVE AT THE FILLMORE」リリース時に差し替えて収録された3曲と拡大版として追加収録された4曲を1枚のCDに収め(ディスク3)、そして今回のアウトテイク集をプレスCDでディスク4に収録した、これ1セットでドミノスのフィルモアが最高音質で手軽に楽しめる企画となったわけです。今回、当店のプロスタッフが「IN CONCERT」と「LIVE AT THE FILLMORE」の楽曲を検証しましたところ、何とすべてのテイクが半音の20%ピッチが高かったことが判明しました。製作時点の意図的なものだったのか、あるいは不測の事態だったのか、理由は不明ですが、オフィシャルテイクのピッチが高かったという信じられない結果が判明したのです。そのため、当店ではこの機会にオフィシャルの全テイクを本来演奏されていたピッチに戻し、収録致しました。今回のアウトテイク集の方もピッチが半音の20%高かったため、本来のピッチに修正しています。つまり本盤では、ドミノスがフィルモア・イーストで演奏していた本来のピッチで全編を聴いていただけるのです。さらに、もちろん既にご存知のように、このアウトテイク集は、オフィシャルとダブらないテイクをただ集めてきたという内容ではなく、トラック4のBlues Powerは今までまったく日の目を見ることのなかったテイクだったという衝撃がありました。正真正銘このテイクは初登場、初の発掘になります。そうなると、この1曲からだけでもこの音源をDIMEにアップした人物の素性が気になるわけで、一体誰がこんな音源をアップロードできたのか?恐らくドミノスのフィルモア関連のオリジナルマスターのコピーを入手できた当時のエンジニア、スタッフ関係者ではなかろうかと思われるのです。また、23日のテイクのミックス違いが24日のセットに混入されてきたため、誤解されて長年に渡り24日のテイクだと信じられてきたBottle Of Red Wineの真の24日レイトショーのテイクは、今年になって遂に日の目を見たのですが、この人物は、それを惜しげもなくピックアップしてきています。つまり「彼」は23日のアーリーショーのマスターテープと23日&24日のレイトショーのマスターテープを保有している人物ではないかと考えられるのです。ドミノスのフィルモアライブの既発盤をすべてコレクトしているマニアでも本盤はまた違ったコンセプトで楽しめるものとして無視はできないのではないでしょうか。ましてや一般のクラプトンファン、ロックファンならば、オフィシャルライブ盤の全曲と併せて、オフィシャルとはまた違ったアドリブプレイ、パフォーマンスが聴けるアウトテイクを心から楽しんでいただけることでしょう。今回の「アウトテイク集」は、演奏が聴き劣りするためにオフィシャル盤から没にされたのではないと断言できる凄まじいパフォーマンスが収められています。弾き捲り歌い捲るクラプトン、燃え上がるドミノスがここにもいます。デレク・アンド・ザ・ドミノスの真骨頂を伝えるオフィシャル盤全テイク、そしてそれを補完し、いかにドミノスが優れたバンドだったかをさらに明示してくれる今回のアウトテイク集。マニアも注目させる「ドミノス・フィルモア」の決定版を当店だけが正常ピッチに調整したプレスCDにてリリース致します。是非この衝撃的音源をこのセットで永久に保存してください。
