The album “Ziggy Stardust” released in 1972, which is a masterpiece of David Bowie and an eternal masterpiece as a historical masterpiece of 70’s rock.
New from the S & V Archive Collection as the 50th Anniversary Collector’s Edition!
On CD1, the album “Ziggy Stardust” was reconstructed as “Ziggy Stardust BBC Tracks” based on the BBC live sound source of multi-track stereo remaster by the first original editing.
All songs of the album “Jiggy Stardust” will be performed at the studio live, including “Soul Love” which has no performance record in BBC and “It Ain’t Easy” in 1972, centering on the BBC live from January to May 1972. Reproduction.
The reorganization of the album by the straight live band performance by The Spiders from Mars, which is different from the completed form of the studio recording, is also noteworthy as an alternate album.
Basically, the BBC live at that time was released as a monaural sound source so far, but this time it realized the first real stereo by multi-track editing.
The latest mix, in which vocals and performances are clearly separated and more powerful, is a must-listen.
CD2 contains all songs of the album with a low mix that eliminates overdubbing such as drums and orchestration, centering on vivid vocals and guitar that convey breathing as “Naked Tracks”.
It is an interesting sound source that brings out the sounds that were normally buried.
In addition, TV live sound sources such as “Top of the Pops” and “OGWT” other than BBC radio are additionally recorded as BBC related sound sources in 1972.
DVD is a video collection that traces the trajectory of Jiggy Stardust from the birth to the heyday of Jiggy by collecting valuable live video recordings, TV and promo videos of 1972 as “Jiggy Stardust 1972 Collection”.
Live footage of a precious silent film that captures the existing early Jiggy, as well as rainbow newsreel and Santa Monica’s live footage that co-starred with Lindsay Kemp’s Pantomime.
Furthermore, all the variations of the promo video are must-see videos.
This is the latest title that cannot be overlooked as the Anniversary Collector’s Edition, which marks the 50th anniversary of the album’s release.

72年1月から5月にかけてのBBCライブを中心にBBCでは演奏記録のない「ソウル・ラブ」71年の「イット・エイント・イージー」を加えてアルバム『ジギー・スターダスト』全曲をスタジオ・ライブで再現。
いずれもスタジオ録音の完成形とは異なるスパイダース・フロム・マーズによるストレートなライブ・バンド演奏でのアルバム再構成はオルタネイト・アルバムとしても注目です。
基本的に当時のBBCライブはモノラル音源でこれまでリリースされてきましたが今回初となるマルチトラック編集によるリアル・ステレオ化を実現。
ボーカルと演奏がクリアに分離して一段と迫力を増した最新ミックスは必聴です。
CD2には”ネイキッド・トラックス”として息遣いが伝わる生々しいボーカルとギターを中心にドラムスやオーケストレーション等のオーバーダブを排除したロウなミックスでアルバム全曲収録。
通常では埋もれていた音が浮かび上がる興味深い音源です。
