Engraved on the masterpiece is the “June 22, 1996 Lorelei Outdoor Festival” performance. It is the stereo sound board recording. Bowie appeared a huge live record to bless his great career immediately after his death. This work is a legendary live album that has been acclaimed as “a symbol of the OUTSIDE era, a masterpiece, an official substitute”. Currently, the official “OUTSIDE Tour” archive is progressing, and “OUVREZ LE CHIEN (LIVE DALLAS 95)” and “NO TRENDY RECHAUFFE (LIVE BIRMINGHAM 95)” have also been made into works, but of course this work is a separate performance. This is David Bowie in 1995/1996. The two official works and our press masterpieces “SLINKY SECRETS (Wardour-230)” and “THE WHITE ROOM (DBAS04)” were recorded in 1995, but this work is the 1996 “SUMMER FESTIVAL Tour” edition. It was also the stage corresponding to the third performance of “Europe # 2” which was just after coming to Japan.
This show was broadcast on the famous German program “ROCKPALAST”, and was a classic among the classics that has produced numerous pre-existing groups since that time. This work is the best master who reigns at the highest peak among them. It is not a broadcast at that time, but a digital rebroadcast version after Bowie died. Moreover, recording and mastering by core mania known for Bowie research. It has been transferred from the broadcasting station master to the CD with zero deterioration. That is the perfect official quality that does not give up half a step even if you listen to it side by side with the official works “OUVREZ LE CHIEN” and “NO TRENDY RECHAUFFE”.
A show that surpasses the official level is spelled out with such an official-grade sound. After all, although this work is a festival set, it has a large volume of 20 songs. There are plenty of famous songs that cannot be heard in the official “OUVREZ LE CHIEN” and “NO TRENDY RECHAUFFE”, which were around 15 songs. Especially this tour was the only solo tour that sang Iggy Pop’s “Lust For Life” and TIN MACHINE’s “Baby Universal”. You can enjoy such precious songs with full official quality.
Even if the archive progresses on the official side, it is truly a masterpiece soundboard that will not give up the No. 1 spot on the tour. A legendary soundboard album that carefully transferred the lossless quality of digital rebroadcast to CD by a researcher who knew Bowie’s career. Here is a dignified reprint.

The main press 2CD is a super-masterpiece soundboard album that reigns as the masterpiece of the “OUTSIDE Tour”. As I mentioned in the commentary, this sound board is famous as the TV program “ROCKPALAST” in the first place. Therefore, along with the reprint release of the masterpiece, the best master of the video version is also decided with a special bonus.
That’s why this work contains the same “June 22, 1996 Lorelei Outdoor Festival” performance as the main press 2CD. It is the multi-camera pro shot. This video has been a big classic for a long time, and the perfect multi-camera first time was a collection of “Donpika”, “Official grade”, and “Tour best” awards. However, those are just air checks from 20 years ago. Speaking of 1996, the first stationary DVD player had just been released, and it was still far from popularization. At that time, recording by VHS was overwhelming, and the already released group was only of analog image quality. On the other hand, this work is an HD rebroadcast version similar to the main press 2CD. Moreover, in the same way, the master of Bowie research was a master who pushed the stamp, and recorded the digital broadcast in 2016 when Bowie died with the latest equipment at that time. I just transferred the zero deterioration master directly to the DVD. Quality speaks for itself. It is incomparable to the air check that I have been familiar with for many years, and it is thoroughly ultra-clear from corner to corner, and the sound is impregnable. Originally, there are no words other than “completely official grade” and “official release possible” only for broadcasting that was famous for its perfect shooting.
Being able to witness the “OUTSIDE Tour” with its ultimate quality is the greatest flavor of this work. After all, only in the era known for its bizarre and bizarre hobbies, Bowie here is strangely cool, unlike any other era. と言うわけで、本作に収められているのは本編プレス２CDと同じ「1996年６月22日ローレライ野外フェス」公演。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。この映像は昔から大定番で、完璧なマルチカメラぶりは“ドンピカ”・“オフィシャル級”・“ツアーベスト”の激賞を一身に集めるものでした。しかし、それらはあくまで20年前のエアチェック。1996年当時と言えば、最初の据え置き型DVDプレイヤーがやっと発売されたばかりであり、まだまだ普及にはほど遠い時代。当時はVHSによる録画が圧倒的で、既発群もアナログ画質のものばかりでした。それに対し、本作は本編プレス２CDと同様のHD再放送版。しかも、同じようにボウイ研究の大家が太鼓判を押したマスターであり、ボウイが亡くなった2016年のデジタル放送を当時の最新機材で録画。まさに劣化ゼロ・マスターをダイレクトにDVDに移し替えたのです。こうした経緯はクオリティが物語っている。長年見慣れたエアチェックとは比較にならず、隅から隅まで徹底的に超・鮮明ですし、サウンドも鉄壁。元々、撮影の完璧ぶりでも有名だった放送だけに「完全オフィシャル級」「公式リリース可能」以外の言葉がありません。
