Annette Zyrinskas has returned for the first time in 35 years, and THE BANGLES has four original members. Introducing a professional shot that allows you to witness the latest stage with superb quality.
This work was shot at “September 15, 2019 Del Mar performance”. This is a multi-camera pro shot when I appeared at the huge festival “KAABOO FESTIVAL” that is ringing every year. Every year, the festival is known as a famous production area for the finest professional shots, but this year too, 54 bands / artists participated in mass production of masterpieces. This week, Sheryl Crow’s “Uxbridge 1119” and this work will be released at the same time.
On the other hand, from the perspective of THE BANGLES, this work is also a very valuable image. As mentioned earlier, we have four original members, but the show is extremely limited. Let’s take a bird’s eye view of the activities in 2019 so that you can realize the situation.

That’s all. There are only three stages. Annette returned last year, but it’s almost the same in 2018, with no so-called tours. It’s good that the original four people are all together, but it’s difficult to watch the live performance.
This work, which recorded such a valuable stage, is a completely official-class multi-camera professional shot. It is natural only for the latest distribution of famous festivals, but not only the image quality and sound quality, but also the sound mix and camera work are perfect. However, it is a type that has a delicious degree of perfection and reality unique to live distribution rather than shooting. Originally, it is not a type of band that runs around violently, but the camera does not produce it actively, and it is important to surely hold down each person. The brightness of the screen further emphasizes its vividness. There is only a daytime appearance in the high sun, and every corner is bright even without lighting, and there is plenty of openness in front of a large audience at the outdoor festival. The presence of THE BANGLES, which confronts the large crowd just by singing and playing, is a realistic professional shot.

From the debut EP in which Annette also participated, he performed all songs except “How Is the Air Up There?”, And other than that, he performed plenty of representative songs up to “EVERYTHING” while focusing on the early days. Including “Hazy Shade Of Winter” provided for the movie “LESS THAN ZERO”, it is the best set that truly summarizes the golden age. The only thing that stands out is “I’ll Never Be Through With You”. It is a single song from the latest work “SWEETHEART OF THE SUN” at the moment, and it has been revived for the first time in 8 years.
The current THE BANGLES, which can never be said to be energetic. It is a professional shot that you can witness such a precious stage for about an hour. As a matter of fact, it cannot be said that the ensemble is perfect only for the stage after a long time, and only Annette is floating in a normal Obasan-like costume. However, it is a valuable original reorganization including this. One piece that you can enjoy the whole story with the highest quality of the official class. Please enjoy it carefully.

35年ぶりにアネット・ズィリンスカスが復帰し、オリジナル・メンバー４人が揃ったTHE BANGLES。その最新ステージを超極上クオリティで目撃できるプロショットが登場です。
そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2019年９月15日デル・マー公演」。毎年恒例と鳴っている巨大フェス“KAABOO FESTIVAL”に出演した際のマルチカメラ・プロショットです。例年、極上プロショットの名産地として知られるフェスですが、今年も54組のバンド／アーティストが参加して傑作を量産。今週は当店でもシェリル・クロウ編『Uxbridge 1119』と本作が同時リリースとなります。
一方、THE BANGLES側から見ると本作は非常に貴重な映像でもある。先述の通りオリジナル・メンバー４人が揃ったわけですが、そのショウは極めて限られている。その事情を実感していただくためにも、2019年の活動概要を俯瞰してみましょう。

以上、これだけ。たった３回のステージしか行われていないのです。アネットが復帰したのは昨年でしたが、2018年もほぼ同じであり、いわゆるツアーはなし。オリジナルの４人が揃ったのは良いものの、そのライヴを観る事自体が難しい状況なのです。
それほど貴重なステージを収録した本作は、まさに完全にオフィシャル級のマルチカメラ・プロショット。有名フェスの最新配信だけに当たり前ではありますが、その画質・音質はもちろん、サウンド・ミックスもカメラワークも完璧。ただし、凝りに凝った完成度と撮影というよりは生配信ならではのリアリティが美味しいタイプ。もともと激しく走り回るタイプのバンドでもないわけですが、カメラもアクティヴに演出する事はせず、１人ひとりを確実に押さえる事を重視している。その生々しさを一層強調しているのが、画面の明るさ。陽の高い日中の出演だけあって照明なしでも隅々まで明るく、野外フェスの大観衆を前にした開放感がたっぷり。その大観衆を前に歌と演奏だけで対峙するTHE BANGLESの存在感がリアルなプロショットです。
そんなクオリティで描かれるショウは、オリジナル４人の姿だけでなく名曲の宝庫でもある。ここで、その内容を整理してみましょう。

……と、このようなっています。アネットも参加したデビューEPから「How Is the Air Up There?」以外の全曲を披露し、それ以外も初期を中心にしつつ『EVERYTHING』までの代表曲をたっぷりと披露。映画『LESS THAN ZERO』に提供した「Hazy Shade Of Winter」も含め、まさに黄金時代を総括するようなベスト・セットです。その中で唯一異彩を放っているのが「I’ll Never Be Through With You」。現時点での最新作『SWEETHEART OF THE SUN』からのシングル曲で、８年ぶりに復活しています。
決して精力的とは言えない現在のTHE BANGLES。そんな貴重なステージを約１時間に渡って目撃できるプロショットです。実のところ、久々のステージだけにアンサンブルはこなれているとは言えず、アネットだけ普通のオバサンっぽい衣装で浮いていたりもする。しかし、それもこれも含めての貴重なるオリジナル再編。その一部始終をオフィシャル級の極上クオリティで楽しめる１枚。どうぞ、じっくりとお楽しみください。
