Headless, the highest jazz collector’s label, has reissued the precious titles of handmade labels for collectors, which were distributed only in a small part, from the official master who took over. Hawk is here. A rare title is re-appearing at an affordable price with a reissue emblem and a newly refurbished back jacket.
It is a sound board live sound source of Arild Andersen, a bassist who represents ECM. You can enjoy the jazz sound by the fantastic quintet without attacking too much free, even if it is ECM-like with acoustic bass. Some ECMs are too avant-garde and hard to listen to, but this is something that orthodox jazz fans can fully enjoy. The members are of European descent.

ECMを代表するベーシスト、アリルド・アンデルセンのサウンドボード・ライヴ音源です。アコースティック・ベースでECMらしくも、フリーに攻めすぎることなく、幻想的なクインテットによるジャズ・サウンドが楽しめます。ECMは前衛的過ぎて聴きにくいものもありますが、これはオーソドックス・ジャズ・ファンにも十分楽しめる内容。メンバーはヨーロッパ系で揃えています。
