Aerosmith / Winterthur Musikfestwochen Festival 1990 / 2CD / ZODIAC
Steinberggasse, Winterthur, Switzerland 31st August 1990
AEROSMITH in the “PUMP” era, which has renewed its heyday by sending out masterpieces that are also called the best masterpieces of the Geffen era. Two new masterpieces will be released at the same time!
Engraved on this second work is “Performance at Winterthur on August 31, 1990”. It is the stereo sound board recording. If the previous work “PERMANENT VACATION” was the era of revival, “PUMP”, which was expected to make a further leap, was the time when it climbed to success beyond the 70’s. First, let’s take a look back at the overview of the activity.

This is the 1989/1990 AEROSMITH. “Europe # 2” was basically a “MONSTERS OF ROCK Tour” with WHITESNAKE as the headliner, but some shows were regular performances of AEROSMITH. The Winterthur performance of this work was such a regular performance, and it was the eighth performance of “Europe # 2”.
This show has been broadcast on the radio for a long time, and has been known as a large standard that has produced a number of existing groups. While this work is such a classic sound board, it is the highest peak master brought by its own route. This unique route is not just something. Recently, KISS’s official outflow sound board has been a big hit at our shop, but this work is one of the collections. In fact, the sound is superb. Even the conventional version was completely official, so it’s not like anything else, but when you listen to it with headphones, the sound density is high and the on-direct feeling is wonderful. It seems that there are many things that have already been dubbed and the localization is slightly to the left, but this work is centered. There is a richer sense of official work.
The glorious “PUMP Tour” with rare songs drawn by such a top-notch master. The simultaneous release “MONSTERS OF ROCK NETHERLANDS 1990 (Zodiac 573)” was a short set because it was a quasi-bird of the festival, but AEROSMITH was a full set of headliners on this day. The number of songs and volume are also different, so let’s organize the set while comparing.
The Geffen era (12 songs)
・Permanent Vacation: Heart’s Done Time (★★)/Rag Doll/Permanent Vacation (★★)/Dude (Looks Like A Lady)
・Pump: Young Lust/F.I.N.E./Monkey On My Back (★)/The Other Side/Janie’s Got A Gun/What It Takes/Voodoo Medicine Man (★★)/Love In An Elevator
● Classics, etc. (8 songs + α)
・Birth of the Beast: Mama Kin/One Way Street (★)/Dream On
・Others: Train Kept A Rollin’/Sweet Emotion (incl. Peter Gunn)/Draw The Line (★)/Walk This Way/Red House (★)
* Note: “★” marks are songs that could not be heard in “MONSTERS OF ROCK NETHERLANDS 1990”. In particular, the “★★” marks are limited songs that have not been played since this tour.
… and it looks like this. The axis is the masterpiece “PUMP”. The beginning of “What It Takes” is faded like the previous episode (apparently this seems to be a mix of the broadcast itself), but “My Girl”, “Don’t Get Mad, Get Even” in all 10 songs of the album 8 songs other than that are played on a large scale. The previous work “PERMANENT VACATION” song is also included there, and a gorgeous show like the Geffen era is unfolded. Moreover, “Heart’s Done Time”, “Permanent Vacation” and “Voodoo Medicine Man” are not played on subsequent tours and cannot be heard on “MONSTERS OF ROCK NETHERLANDS 1990”. You can enjoy such rare songs on the official sound board.
A historical masterpiece sound board that has symbolized the “PUMP” era, its highest peak. The take of “GET A GRIP Tour” was partially adopted in the official work “A LITTLE SOUTH OF SANITY”, but what I really wanted was a solo full live album in the Geffen era … not many people like that Is not it. This work is one of the “substitutes for facials” that heals such dryness. Please enjoy yourself with the permanent preservation press 2CD.
★ Stereo sound board recording of “August 31, 1990 Winterthur Performance”. Although it is a large standard FM sound board, it is a completely official-class highest peak master brought through its own route. It seems that there are many things that have already been released whose localization is slightly to the left due to phase shift, but this work has a high density of ringing at the center. The precious “Heart’s Done Time”, “Permanent Vacation”, and “Voodoo Medicine Man” are also great masterpieces of “official substitute” where you can enjoy a full show of delicious heyday.
