MEGADETH in 2006 came to Japan to serve as the finale for the memorable first “LOUD PARK”. The original recording that conveys the scene is a new excavation.
The performance of “October 16, 2006 Zepp Osaka” is imbued in this work. It is the first appearance audience recording that vacuum packed the whole story. MEGADETH, who made a comeback with the masterpiece “THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED”, visited Japan in 2005, 2006 and 2007 for three consecutive years. First of all, let’s look back from the 2006 visit to Japan schedule in the middle.

A total of 4 performances. It was a rather small schedule, partly due to the fact that they had returned to Japan without any new releases from the previous year. The first “LOUD PARK” was held at Makuhari Messe and Zepp Osaka, and this work is a live album recorded at the Osaka venue.
This work, which conveys such a scene, is a powerful audience recording that will be released to the world for the first time. Anyway, the core is very thick and powerful, and the edge is sharp. It’s not a type that can be mistaken for a sound board because it absorbs the sound of a hall, but the details are not hidden because the air is transparent. Moreover, fierce. The edge is sharp, but its sharpness is not that of a razor or a hatchet, but that of a saw. There is a violent feeling that the whole body is being scraped by the fierce attack of wild & rough riffs. This atrocity makes even the legendary first visit to Japan rich. No, the playing ability is much more professional than in the 80’s, and there is no thrill on the verge of bankruptcy. However, the thorny and edgy riffs attacked in an orderly fashion. The strength of that push was not there in the 90s.

… and it looks like this. The “THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED” number is kept in “Blackmail The Universe”, concentrating the golden 80’s / 90’s famous songs. Under such circumstances, the new song “Washington Is Next!” At that time, it was time to start producing “UNITED ABOMINATIONS” between tours, and this song just made its stage debut on the North American tour in September. It is a song that vividly revives the memories of being stoked with expectations for a new work that has not yet been known.
Fusion-flavoured Poland, melancholy Marty, fast-playing man Broderick… In such circumstances, MEGADETH in the era of Glenn Drover could be called the “righteous metal era”. Although it ended with only one studio work, it was actually a fulfilling highlight visit to Japan. Please enjoy the full experience with this high-aggression work.
