With the 50th anniversary of the daimyo board “Kiseki”, YES’s Japan tour was realized for the first time in three years. All performances of the latest original recording will be released together!
This time’s Japan tour consisted of 5 performances, and this work is the second in a series of 5. It is a masterpiece audience recording of “September 6, 2022: Orchard Hall” performance. This week we released 5 songs at the same time, and we had 3 performances at Orchard Hall. Let’s organize what position each show is in the schedule.
*September 5th “TOKYO 2022 1ST NIGHT”
*September 6: Orchard Hall ← This work
・September 8 “OSAKA 2022”
・September 9 “NAGOYA 20222”
*September 12th “TOKYO 2022 FINAL NIGHT”
* Note: “*” marks are the same recording artist collection as this work.
A total of 5 performances. At Orchard Hall, a total of 3 times, “2 beginnings + 1 final time”, was performed, and this work was a live album for 2 consecutive days following the simultaneous release “TOKYO 2022 1ST NIGHT (Amity 688)”. Also, this work is not only that. Actually, the recording artist is the same as “1ST NIGHT (Amity 688)” and “FINAL NIGHT (Amity 692)”. It is a genuine sister work by the same venue, the same equipment, and the same recording artist.
There are only three of them, and their sound tendencies are very similar. While the hall sound draws a symphonic profound feeling, the core that penetrates the middle is extremely thick. Although it has a dynamism that is clearly different from the sound board, it does not give a sense of distance, and it has both on-power strength and fine detail.
“However, that’s just a tendency.” As expected, it seems that the recording position was not the same, and this work has a richer sound. Of course, if the details become cloudy along with that, there is no original or child, but it is wonderful because the thickness of the sound enhances the rushing power of the core. You can immerse your whole body in symphonic rock with a richer feeling of melody and harmony.
A full show that is a bit different from the first day is depicted with such a rich sound. In the commentary on the previous day’s work “1ST NIGHT”, I compared it with the previous visit to Japan, so let’s organize the set as usual here.

… and it looks like this. In the previous visit to Japan (2019), the set was changed significantly depending on the day, but this time it is very similar except for the last day. However, it is not completely the same, and Steve Howe’s solo time has changed. On the first day, I played “To Be Over” of “Relayer” as an acoustic guitar instrument, but on the second day it was the familiar “Clap”.
And this “Clap” is also a point, and because of this, this work is also the best partner for the final day “TOKYO 2022 FINAL NIGHT (Amity 692)”. In this visit to Japan, we are doing a special set only on the last day and songs that are not in other performances, but instead the two songs “Clap” and “Heart Of The Sunrise” are falling. This work has those two songs, and by combining it with “FINAL NIGHT”, it is possible to suppress the entire repertoire of this time. Moreover, this work and “FINAL NIGHT” are sister works of the same venue, the same equipment, and the same recording artist. The sound is also very similar, and it is the shortest best pair that can complete all songs with plenty of unity.
This time, all performances in Japan were released at once, but in particular, the three performances in Tokyo were three sister works with the same venue, the same equipment, and the same recording artist. Although each one is an excellent live album, by making it a set of three, you can enjoy the whole three performances at the same venue with a sense of unity. Three beautiful sisters who can fully enjoy the unique pleasure of such audience recording. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.
★ A masterpiece audience recording of the “September 6, 2022 Orchard Hall” performance. A sister work of “TOKYO 2022 1ST NIGHT” and the same recording artist’s collection, the hall sound draws a symphonic profound feeling, while the core that penetrates the middle is extremely thick. It is a famous recording that combines on-power strength and fine detail. You can enjoy not only the complete reproduction of the Daimyo board “Crisis”, but also the delicious full show of “On the Silent Wings of Freedom” and the new song “The Ice Bridge”, which are released for the first time in Japan.
