METALLICA in the “ST. ANGER” era, which was revived as the current organization while being driven to the point of dissolution. Introducing an amazing original recording that allows you to experience the final day of the resurrection tour.
The final day is “November 28, 2004 San Jose performance”. It is the transcendental audience recording. 2004 is the year of the revolution when livemetallica.com was launched. The official sound board for each performance is now available for purchase, but despite this, this work is a transcendental DAT master that has surprised enthusiasts around the world. In other words, it’s a super-superb live album that leaves the official sound board behind.
Before the quality you care about, first of all, the position of the show. Let’s look back at the big picture of the tour that embarked on a world reconquest with Robert Trujillo.

This is METALLICA in 2003/2004. “North America # 1” is a festival format “SUMMER SANITARIUM TOUR” with LIMP BIZKIT and LINKIN PARK, and the rest is “MADLY IN ANGER WITH THE WORLD TOUR”. The kick-off place is Japan, and this work was a tour Chiakiraku about a year later.
This work recorded at such a show has an amazing sound. As mentioned above, there is also a genuine official sound board, so it can not be said that it is a “sound board” normally, but this work is different. It doesn’t matter if you have an official soundboard or not. Sound board class without any questions … No, “beyond the official sound board”. The direct feeling is completely soundboard grade, and it is much richer and more gorgeous than the livemetallica.com soundboard, which had a poor core only. Of course, if you listen carefully with headphones, you can also inhale the sound of the venue, but instead of not feeling a sense of distance, it further strengthens the dynamism and creates a sense of unity in the ensemble. What’s more, even in the noise, the thick core rushes into the brain with a straight ball, and the details and edges are glaring.
The lightly “livemetallica.com exceeded” sound was drawn with a dynamic full show because it was the last day. “MADLY IN ANGER WITH THE WORLD TOUR” put an end to the long-running “nightmare groove era”, and the set that changes violently every day was praised. This work is the last one. Let’s organize the set here.
● Cliff era (7 songs)
・ Kill’Em All: The Four Horsemen / Seek & Destroy
・ Ride the Lightning: For Whom The Bell Tolls
・ Metal Master: Disposable Heroes / Welcome Home (Sanitarium) / Battery / Master Of Puppets
● Since the Jason era (11 songs)
・ Metal Justice: Blackened / One
・ Black Album: The Unforgiven / The God That Failed / Sad But True / Wherever I May Roam / Nothing Else Matters / Enter Sandman
・ Reload: Fuel
・ S & M: No Leaf Clover
・ Saint Anger: Frantic
… And it looks like this. While showing off the rare “No Leaf Clover”, the overall balance is sticking to the “de-groove route”, which is rare after “LOAD”. However, it is not as a slash festival as at the beginning of the tour, and the main axis of the day is “BLACK ALBUM”, followed by a delicious set featuring the “MASTER OF PUPPETS” number. They will also showcase “The God That Failed” after a long absence and the precious “Disposable Heroes”.
And the performance of spinning such a set is wonderful. Chiakiraku is the extreme of whether the tour gets tired or the performance is full of openness, but this work is the latter. The daring goodness of not having to worry about tomorrow’s condition is fully open, and it is dynamic. You can’t expect a tingling tension or an unrivaled sense of construction, but the feeling of full power with one riff, one drum hit, and the exhilaration of accelerating with “Se-no!” Is amazing. Moreover, its dynamism goes well with the “BLACK ALBUM” numbered set. It’s a glorious heavy show that feels like you’ve slipped back in time around 1993/1994.
The “ST. ANGER” era, which has an image of a rehabilitation period, probably because of the movie “Metallica: Some Kind of Truth (SOME KIND OF MONSTER)”. Certainly there was such a color in the live at the beginning of the tour, but this work is different. A full show of METALLICA that showed its true character and completely revived on a careful tour that lasted for a whole year. It is a masterpiece of a live album that you can fully enjoy with a transcendental sound that makes the whole story out of the question even on the official sound board. Please take this opportunity to fully enjoy it.
★ Transcendental audience recording. A marvelous name recording that is far superior to the official sound board of livemetallica.com, which has only a core and is poor! !! This is amazing.
