Ann Wilson who is participating as a solo on Super Luxurious Coupling Tour with Jeff Beck & Paul Rodgers “STARS ALIGN TOUR 2018”. Its newest and superb live set appears.
“STARS ALIGN TOUR” is going around the whole country with 21 all performances from July 18th to August 26th (originally scheduled for 27 performances, but it was changed). Of the eight performances among them, we placed the best audience shot of “Clarkston’s show on July 31, 2018” on disc 2, and the audience recording of “11th August 2018 Camden Performance”, which is the 11th show, on Disk 2 It is 2 pairs.

【Disk 1: Superb picture of Clarkston performance】
The first thing that appears is video footage. “STARS ALIGN TOUR” is a coupling of three heavyweights, but double headliner is Jeff and Paul to the last. It is the first position of Ann’s holding time of about 45 minutes, it is an opening act position.
This disc is an audience shot that can witness such Ann, but its quality is also excellent! Although the image quality which shows the performance of the latest digital equipment is tremendous, the position is also amazing. To tell the truth, I do not know the detailed position. Although it is surely an oblique shot from the right side of the stage from the angle it keeps her wist-up in the middle for a long time, the image quality is beautifully unusual, the hair is super clear all by one. Therefore, I do not know the distance to the stage at all.
In addition, there are people who cross the front of the camera occasionally occasionally, but although it is understood that it is not in the front row, there is no other audience presence. It is like a stake-related shot by a staff for the first time. Furthermore, camera-like work is official. The camera moves according to the Ann of the stage, but its movement is slightly stiff. This movement is a unique thing that happens when using a tripod. Of course, you can taste plenty of stability that is unique to a tripod.

Furthermore, we will also show off a repertoire of new work “IMMORTAL”. This is not original, it dedicates to a deceased musician such as Leslie Goa’s “You Do not Own Me” and Glenn Frei’s “Life in the Fast Lane”. AUDIOSLAVE’s “I Am the Highway” is also a singing voice dedicated to the deceased Chris Cornell.

【Disk 2: Best Friend Album of Camden Performance】
The following disc 2 is a full audience recording of Camden performances which will be held four days after Clarkston. This is also a super best recording with super stuff. Brilliantly brilliant bass down to details, medium sound with gloss and elasticity, and high notes that never hurts while stretching beautifully. Every range is beautiful, there is no lightness or chatter. It is easy to call it a word “as if it is a soundboard”, but rather more than that. There is plenty of supreme natural sound world that can be caught if there is modern PA technology and recording equipment.
That’s why we realized a strong but beautiful sound is a work published by Mr. “boironmaiden” who is attracting attention as a modern name recordingist. As its name suggests, it is known as a masterpiece by IRON MAIDEN, except for metal, Billy Joel and BLACKMORE ‘S NIGHT also leave many name recordings. This work is a special inscription that such a skillful arm demonstrated without regret.
Drawing with that sound leads to Disk 1, a slightly different show. Of course, it is commonplace that the performance and singing voice are completely different, but the set also changed. YES cover ‘Your Move’ has fallen instead of singing HEART’s ‘Crazy On You’. To tell the truth, “Your Move” is also powerful singing enough of Ann ‘s powerful singing and treble harmoniously and it was as strong as John Anderson, but again after listening to famous songs in famous songs Even wonderful. “STARS ALIGN TOUR”は７月18日から８月26日まで全21公演（当初は27公演の予定でしたが、変更になりました）で全米を巡っている最中。そのうち８公演目となる「2018年７月31日クラークストン公演」の極上オーディエンス・ショットをディスク１、11公演目となる「2018年８月４日カムデン公演」のオーディエンス録音をディスク２に配した２枚組です。

【ディスク１：クラークストン公演の極上映像】
まず登場するのは映像編。“STARS ALIGN TOUR”は重鎮３人のカップリングですが、ダブル・ヘッドライナーはあくまでジェフとポール。アンの持ち時間約45分の一番手で、オープニング・アクト的な立場です。
このディスクは、そんなアンの姿を目撃できるオーディエンス・ショットなのですが、そのクオリティがまた絶品！　最新デジタル機材の性能を見せつける画質も凄まじいですが、ポジションも凄い。実のところ、詳しいポジションが分からない。角度からステージ右寄りからの斜めショットなのは確実なものの、ずーっと彼女のウィストアップをド真ん中に据え続けており、画質が異様に美しく、髪の毛の１本１本まで超鮮明。そのため、ステージまでの距離がまったく分からないのです。
しかも、極たまにカメラの前を横切る人影があるので最前列ではないとは分かるものの、他に観客の存在感もない。まるでスタッフによる関係者ショットのような極上ぶりです。さらに関係者風なのはカメラワーク。ステージのアンに合わせてカメラも動くわけですが、その動きがややカクカクしている。この動きは、三脚を使った際に起きる独特なもの。もちろん、三脚ならではのビシッとした安定感をたっぷりと味わえるのです。
さらに撮りっぱなしでもなく撮影後のトリートメントまで完璧。実は、カメラ付属のマイクだけでなく、もう１つ別の極上録音をマトリクスさせている。艶やかな鳴りから１本１本の録音だけでも極上なのは手に取る様に分かるのですが、手間暇を惜しまず「さらに上」を目指した美意識まで感じさせる映像作品なのです。
そのクオリティで描かれるのは、HEARTとは明らかに違うソロ・ステージ。HEARTの「Barracuda」やソロの「Fool No More」も歌いはしますが、他はすべてカバーソング。しかも、お約束のLED ZEPPELINもなく、THE WHOの「The Real Me」「Won’t Get Fooled Again」やYESの「Your Move」といった名曲群を歌っていく。さらに新作『IMMORTAL』のレパートリーも披露。これもオリジナルではなく、レスリー・ゴーアの「You Don’t Own Me」やグレン・フライの「Life in the Fast Lane」など、近年亡くなったミュージシャンに捧げている。AUDIOSLAVEの「I Am the Highway」も亡きクリス・コーネルに捧げる熱唱なのです。

【ディスク２：カムデン公演の極上ライヴアルバム】
続くディスク２は、クラークストンの４日後となるカムデン公演のフル・オーディエンス録音です。こちらもまた超の付く極上録音。逞しくも細部まで鮮やかな低音、艶とコシのある中音、そして綺麗に伸びつつ決して耳障りにならない高音。どの音域も美しく、軽さやビビリもまったくない。一言「まるでサウンドボード」と呼んでしまえばカンタンに済みますが、むしろそれ以上。現代のＰＡ技術と録音機材があればこそ捉えることができた超自然で極上の音世界がたっぷりと吸い込まれているのです。
それだけ力強くも美しいサウンドを実現したのは、現代の名録音家として注目を集めている人物「boironmaiden」氏が公開した作品なのです。その名の通り、IRON MAIDENの名作で知られてますが、メタル以外でもビリー・ジョエルやBLACKMORE’S NIGHTでも名録音を多数残している。本作は、そんなスゴ腕が遺憾なく発揮された格別の銘品なわけです。
そのサウンドで描かれるのはディスク１に通じつつ、少しだけ違ったショウ。もちろん、演奏や歌声が丸っきり異なるのは当たり前ですが、セットも変更。YESのカバー「Your Move」が落ちた代わりに、HEARTの「Crazy On You」を歌っているのです。実のところ、「Your Move」もアンのパワフルな歌いっぷりと高音の両立が見事にハマッており、ジョン・アンダーソンよりも逞しいほどの出来だったのですが、やはり名曲中の名曲は何度聴いても素晴らしい。当然、ナンシーのイントロ・ソロはないわけですが、その代わりにアンが熱いシンガロングをたっぷりと聴かせてからバンドが入ってくるアレンジで、演奏もアコースティック・ギターとピアノがメイン。当店では“STARS ALIGN TOUR”の第一報として『SAN DIEGO 2018（Uxbridge 870）』もお届けしましたが、「Crazy On You」はそこでも聴けない美味しい１曲なのです。

カバーをたっぷりと歌い、HEARTのナンバーも本家とは違った表情を見せるソロシンガー：アン・ウィルソンのステージ。その模様を超美麗なオーディエンス・ショットとサウンドボード裸足な超極上オーディエンス録音でセットした大傑作です。今なお、美しくも力強い歌声に浸りきれる２公演。どうぞ、存分にお楽しみください。
