WISHBONE ASH in the Mark Birch era, known for the planned works “TRANCE VISIONARY”, “PSYCHIC TERRORISM” and “BARE BONES”, even though it is the 30th anniversary of their debut. A valuable original recording that allows you to experience the best of the scene is the world’s first public release.
“April 29, 2000 Coleville performance” is imbued in this work. It is the best audience recording. At that time, WISHBONE ASH was full of mysteries. Normally, I would explain the state of the activity here on the tour schedule, but I can’t do that either. Even if there is some data on the live schedule, it is not enough to grasp the whole picture, and I can not grasp how long the tour was held in the world. As expected, the data of the Coalville performance of this work was not known, but from the schedule, it was exactly one week before the official video “30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT”. It seems to be part of the 30th anniversary tour as well.
This work, which vacuum-packed the scene of such a mysterious era, is truly a superb live album. It is a first-ever public master brought by its own route, but this is a ridiculously wonderful masterpiece. Judging from the sound of the snare, there is no mistake in the audience recording, but the strength of the on-core, the vividness that does not make you feel the distance, the details that are clear to the subtleties, the crystal-clear air feeling … . Everything is at the level where the sound board of Sonjosokora escapes barefoot.
In fact, even if the two guitars are intertwined, they don’t get mixed up, and you can fully enjoy the detailed phrases. The bass is clearly drawn with each attack, and the groove created by connecting them is also mellow. Of course, the drums are also beautifully intertwined with the realistic and beautiful bass line so that the structure of the kit comes to mind. If we consider the notes produced by each instrument as “threads”, then it’s an ultra-clear sound that allows us to discern each and every stitch of the tapestry that weaves them.
A full show that emerges from the darkness of history is drawn with such a clear sound that is far from the customer record. As mentioned above, the 2000 live is also left in the video work “30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT”, but this work is a similar but different set. Let’s organize them by comparing them here.

● Original member era (7 songs + α)
・Hyakugan no Kyojin Argus: The King Will Come/Throw Down The Sword (★)/Sometime World (★★)/Blowin’ Free (Bad Weather Blues)
・Other: Phoenix/Vas Dis (★★)/Everybody Needs A Friend (★★)
After that (6 songs)
・Rory Weisfield era: F.U.B.B./Come In From The Rain/Living Proof/Master Of Disguise (★★)
・Strange Affair: Wings Of Desire(★)/Strange Affair
* Note: “★” marks are songs that could not be heard in the official work “30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT”. In particular, the “★★” marks are songs that cannot be heard even with “LIVE DATES 3”.

… and it looks like this. In the official video “30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT”, the new song “No Joke” (at that time) was also played, but this work emphasizes classics one week later. Most of them are repertoire before “JUST TESTING”. Of course, not just the Greatest Hits, but also valuable songs such as “Vas Dis” and “Come In From The Rain”. Especially around “Master Of Disguise” and “Everybody Needs A Friend”, there may be some people who knew the fact itself that was being played live for the first time.
The era of Mark Birch, who celebrated his 30th anniversary, ended without leaving an original album. It is the first public live album where you can experience the full show on site. A new masterpiece with a superb real sound that can be called “another 30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT”. Please enjoy it to the fullest.

* Superb audience recording of “April 29, 2000 Coleville Performance”. A world-first public master brought by a unique route, the strength of the on-core, the vividness that makes you feel the distance, the details that are clear to the subtleties, the crystal clear and transparent atmosphere … everything is superb. . It is a level where the sound board of Sonjosokora runs away barefoot. It is a new masterpiece with plenty of songs that you can not hear in the official video “30TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT” one week ago.

The King Will Come/Throw Down The Sword(★)/Sometime World(★★)/Blowin’ Free (Bad Weather Blues)
Phoenix/Vas Dis(★★)/Everybody Needs A Friend(★★)
F.U.B.B./Come In From The Rain/Living Proof/Master Of Disguise(★★)
Wings Of Desire(★)/Strange Affair

もちろん、ただのグレイテスト・ヒッツではなく、「Vas Dis」や「Come In From The Rain」といった貴重曲も披露。
