The final performance “November 2, International Forum”, which is said to be the best show of “THE PURPLE JAPAN TOUR 2015”. This edition is a matrix album of ultra-high-quality original ear-in-monitor sound sources (IEMs) and audience recording.
Speaking of IEMs, direct sound that can be called a pseudo sound board. Even in this work, you can fully enjoy the vivid musical sound with the straight ball. Especially amazing is the gorigori base. The sound emitted from the on-site PA tends to be low, but in this work, even the nuances of picking are clearly and comfortably roared. Also, the chorus is wonderful. “YOKOHAMA 2015” and “TOKYO 2015” released in our shop are proud of the clearness that each chorus can be heard, but the sense of separation of IEMs that convey the sound of each microphone separately is tremendous. Not only the voice quality of the chorus, but also David Coverdale’s tame breath vocals are poured directly into the ear.

This Japan tour was a live with the same set list and the same content in various places, but only on this day, he gave me “Bad Boys” at the very end. Of course, it’s a song I’ve watched and listened to many times, but this time it’s been updated by Reb Beach and Joel Hawkstra, just like DEEP PURPLE’s masterpiece. The guitars fly more colorfully than the original while lightly skipping. Furthermore, the air at the site where I witnessed the surprise is amazing. It’s a modern day with a well-developed internet, so if you want to check the set list, you’ll know the day after the live. It is clear that the audience gathered at the international forum were familiar with the sets in each area and did not expect a surprise to come here. In the atmosphere of “Well, We Wish You Well …”, the intro roars and tremendous enthusiasm erupts, screaming, roaring, and screaming from all over the international forum! At WHITESNAKE, where the age group of the audience is getting older year by year, the excitement that seems to have been a long time is vacuum packed.

“THE PURPLE JAPAN TOUR 2015” that delivered the masterpieces of DEEP PURPLE updated in the 2015 version. However, the WHITESNAKE number is the same as when Joel Hawkstra was greeted and Reb Beach was set up in Bandleader. “THE PURPLE JAPAN TOUR 2015”のベストショウとも言われる最終公演「11月２日・国際フォーラム」。本盤は超高音質オリジナル・イヤー・イン・モニター音源（IEMs）とオーディエンス録音のマトリックス・アルバムです。
IEMsと言えば、疑似サウンドボードと言ってもいいダイレクト・サウンド。本作でも、そのド直球で鮮やかな楽音がたっぷりと味わえます。特に凄いのが、ゴリゴリのベース。現場PAから吐き出されるサウンドでは低めになりがちですが、本作ではピッキングのニュアンスまでも克明にバキバキと気持ちよく轟くのです。また、コーラスも素晴らしい。当店リリース済みの「YOKOHAMA 2015」「TOKYO 2015」は、コーラス１人ひとりまで聴き取れるクリアさを誇っていますが、さすがにマイク１本１本のサウンドを別個に伝えるIEMsの分離感は絶大。コーラスの声質はもちろん、デヴィッド・カヴァデールのタメ息ヴォーカルも耳元に直接流し込まれるのです。

ライヴの内容も絶品。何と言っても、日本最終日の気合いが凄い。デヴィッド・カヴァデールのヴォーカルには荒れた部分も見られますが、それがツアーの疲れに思えないほど入魂。初日の大阪公演を彷彿とさせる咆哮を轟かせるのです。
そして、アンコールの最後には、ビッグ・サプライズの「Bad Boys」！　今回のジャパンツアーは各地で同じセットリスト、同じ内容のライヴでしたが、この日だけ最後の最後に「Bad Boys」をプレゼントしてくれたのです。もちろん、今までも何度となく観て、聴いてきた曲ではありますが、今回はDEEP PURPLEの名曲と同じようにレブ・ビーチとジョエル・ホークストラによってアップデートでされている。軽快にかっ飛ばしつつ、オリジナル以上にカラフルにギターが飛び交う。さらに、そのサプライズを目の当たりにした現場の空気こそが凄い。ネットの発達した現代ですから、セットリストをチェックしようと思ったらライヴの翌日には分かる。国際フォーラムに集まった観客たちも各地のセットを熟知していたのか、ここでサプライズが来るとは思っていなかったのは明白。「さて、We Wish You Wellかな……」という雰囲気の中、イントロが轟くや物凄い熱狂が噴き上がり、国際フォーラムのあちこちから沸き上がる、悲鳴・咆哮・絶叫！　年々、観客の年齢層も高くなってきたWHITESNAKEでは、久々と思えるほどの盛り上がりが真空パックされています。

2015年バージョンでアップデートされたDEEP PURPLEの名曲群を届けてくれた“THE PURPLE JAPAN TOUR 2015”。しかし、ジョエル・ホークストラを迎え、レブ・ビーチをバンマスに据えたのは、WHITESNAKEナンバーも同じです。そうしたニューバージョンのアレンジを、機微に至るまで詳細に聴けるIEMsマトリックス・アルバム。もちろん、サプライズの「Bad Boys」も収録していますし、いまだサウンドボード音源が出てきていない“THE PURPLE TOUR 2015”だからこその貴重盤。ぜひお楽しみください！
