そんな本作に刻まれているのは「2018年６月９日ユニオンデール公演」。まずはいつもの通り、“eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour”の全体像からショウのポジションを確認してみましょう。

これが現在までに公表されている日程。５月にスタートしたツアーは現在、全米をサーキット中。本作のユニオンデール公演は、その折り返しとなる「北米#2」３公演目のコンサートでした。
そんな本作のクオリティは、異常なほどのスーパー映像。いくつかの映像が組み合わされているのですが、メインのカメラがとにかくスクリーンもメンバーの直写も猛烈に近くてド迫力！　撮影ポジションは……実は分からない。ステージの直写から察するにやや右斜めからの撮影だと思うのですが、その距離感がさっぱり。会場を突っ切る巨大スクリーンもしっかり楽しめるし、ステージを直写しても４人の表情が分かるほどにズーム。そして、花道を歩いているボノを映せば、バストアップがモニターを占領するドアップで迫る。そのすべてが観客の頭上ごしに遮蔽物ゼロで映し出され、最新デジタルの超鮮明画質。正直なところ、今観ているのが撮影者の直写なのかモニターのプロショット映像なのか分からなくなるほどです。
そして、メイン以外のカメラも絶品。ステージＢに移動する際には遠景から巨大スクリーンを全景で見つめられるのですが、これがまた綺麗で遮蔽物がまったくない。スクリーンがハミ出すこともなく、ドデカいスタジアムのドデカいスクリーンのスペクタクルが分かりつつ、まるでオリジナル映像をハメ込んだように鮮明なのです。
さらに、ほぼ１曲単位の編集なのも美味しい。いくつかのカメラが使われてるとは言っても、ほぼ数曲単位。マルチカメラ編集のような目まぐるしさがなく、じっくりと体験感を味わえる。まるでショウの進行に沿って特等席を渡り歩くような贅沢体験ができるのです。その上で、音声も凄い。カメラとは別の極上録音がシンクロされており、カメラが代わろうとシームレスで艶やかなサウンドは不変。曲間など、映像のないパートはツアーロゴの静止画で繋がれてもいるのですが、それさえも「次にどんな凄い光景が出てくるんだろう……」とワクワクしてしまう。それほどまでに出てくる映像すべてが超極上なのです。

その映像美で描かれるショウは……こればかりは実際に目と耳でご確認していただくしかないでしょう。現在最高峰のロック・ショウと言えば、ロジャー・ウォーターズの“US + THEM”が浮かびますが、“eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour”も匹敵する……と言いますか、更に上を行く!?　凝りに凝った映像、メンバーのリアルタイム・カットに架空の衣装やメイクを重ねてしまう三次元CG、そしてスタジアムの巨大な立体空間を使い切った演出……。まさに最新技術の粋を駆使しながらも、４人組のバンド演奏が主役を譲らないロック感。このドデカい超スペクタクルはいかに言葉を重ねても伝えきれるものではありません。
