TOTO’s 40th anniversary tour with a series of unusual high quality recordings. Supernatural original recording that will renew its highest peak is the appearance of rainy day. It is a permanent preservation press decision for questionless use!
It is “February 27, 2019: Sendai Sun Plaza Hall” performance that is stored in the highest masterpiece edition. In our shop, the super high-quality sound album “BUDOKAN 2019 (Zion-137)” and “OSAKA 2019 (Zion-138)” in Tokyo and Osaka are in the midst of great popularity. Above, all 8 performances. Tokyo and Osaka that we introduced so far were in the middle of the tour, but the Sendai performance of this work was the last day in Japan that went well. This work which recorded such a show is a super-sound that the ring doubts the ear. No, I can not believe it. “BUDOKAN 2019” “OSAKA 2019” is also a fierce high-quality sound, and even if it is rehearsed now, it is a name recording whose defect is not perfect. It is a super sound of the dimension of being lucky if you go out one in a world tour around the world. However, this work has exceeded even both such works ….
It is an original recording of only this work that was given by the sounder himself, but I don’t know how to make this humility into words. The thickness of the core, the sense of stability that never beats, the sense of tightness of a sense of distance, the fineness of a sound board grade … No, these points were perfect even with “BUDOKAN 2019” and “OSAKA 2019”. Nevertheless, I clearly understand that this work is over. The difference is …. Well, should I say “the dignity of ringing”? It is not a sound board like a core board, but it is beautifully “sounding”. A vibe that can not distinguish whether it is an effect that one sound or one sound is included in the output sound or a hall sound, it colors the performance sound in a dignified manner like an aura.
Especially the shock is a heavy bass. The fineness and richness of the vive seem to challenge human creativity. The biggest difference between the recording CD and the concert site is the “feeling” of the deep bass felt throughout the body, but this work reproduces even that. Don’t get me wrong here. This work is not (Never!) In the recording where only the deep bass is prominent. Not only treble to heavy bass, but also stereo feeling and three-dimensional feeling are well balanced. However, it is transcendent so that high and midranges can be balanced with their deep bass only by the fact that they are miracle even to the deep bass that tends to be a weakness of audience recording.
I use the word “official class” as a compliment over “sound board class”, but this work is exactly that. It is not the official excavation class, but the “official name board class”. It sounds like overdubbing only the fresh (and modest) hand clappings of rock history’s masterpieces … No, it still isn’t enough. Rather, it’s amazing whether you can record so much sound on a medium called CD, and it’s anxious about whether you can play rich sounds so far with consumer speakers.

This tour of Japan was the same for all performances, and I have been writing about the 40th anniversary special set too many times so I will omit it. Just repeating the extra words does not make you feel like you’re going to get dirty with this sound. Besides, even if this work is a mediocre show (it can not always be found in the artisan group TOTO, which is always a perfect and famous piece of music), this sound alone makes the skin stand up and shakes the hand that hits the keyboard. I will come.

以上、全8公演。これまでご紹介してきた東京・大阪はツアー中盤でしたが、本作の仙台公演はグッと進んだ日本最終日でした。そんなショウを記録した本作は、輪が耳を疑う超絶なサウンド。いえ、本当に信じられない。『BUDOKAN 2019』『OSAKA 2019』も猛烈なハイクオリティ・サウンドであり、今聴き直しても欠点がまるでない名録音。世界中を巡るワールドツアーでも1本出てくればラッキーという次元のスーパー・サウンドです。しかし、本作はそんな両作さえも超えてしまった……。
録音家本人から譲られた本作だけのオリジナル録音なのですが、この凄さはどう言葉にしていいのか分からない。芯の太さ、決してビビらない安定感、距離感ゼロの密着感、サウンドボード級の細やかさ……いや、こうしたポイントは『BUDOKAN 2019』『OSAKA 2019』でも完璧でした。それでもなお、本作が超えているとハッキリ分かる。その違いは……そうですね、「鳴りの品格」とでも言えばいいのでしょうか。サウンドボード的な芯丸出しではなく、美しく「鳴って」いる。1音1音が出力音に含まれるエフェクトなのか、ホール音響なのかも区別できないヴァイヴをまとい、それがオーラのように演奏音を神々しく彩っているのです。
