THIN LIZZY in 1983 welcomed John Sykes and embarked on a farewell tour. The longest professional shot is the highest peak master.
“April 9, 1983 Dublin performance” is included in this work. A gorgeous set of multi-camera pro shots / stereo soundboard recordings taken on the last tour in Ireland. 《THIN LIZZY dissolution》
“The quality is top-notch, but somewhat maniacal.” The master freshness is the ultimate version with zero deterioration, and the image quality / sound quality is also superb. However, the local feeling of the Dublin local station “RTE Irish TV”, which is the origin because the master is the best, is also clear. In fact, compared to “REGAL THEATER 1983: STEREO MIX” released at the same time, the screen is darker and the number of cameras is smaller. The camera angles that make extensive use of distant views and the strangely elaborate switching production are also unfamiliar to rock concerts.
“I’m not sure if I’m recommending it or not, but of course it’s a must-see and a must-have.” The local feeling of Ireland in the 80’s (it is not in the north, so it is not in the UK) itself is historical, and most importantly, “the longest video of the Sykes era” is big. The broadcast frame of about 50 minutes exceeds the highest quality legal video, and there are many songs. Let’s organize the set while comparing here.

… and it looks like this. You can enjoy various delicious songs, but the particularly rare one is “Whisky In The Jar”. It is not included in the simultaneous release “REGAL THEATER 1983: STEREO MIX” or the official “LIFE” or “BBC RADIO ONE”. You can enjoy the precious Sykes version with a professional shot.
[Includes tour documentaries and valuable bonus pro shots] The final home country tour was not only a long live program, but also a documentary program “THE SUN GOES DOWN: Thin Lizzy’s Farewell Irish Tour” featuring the tour itself. In this work, both the live version and the documentary version are coupled with the highest peak master (because this documentary is also important, the title of this work is “IRISH TOUR ’83” instead of “Dublin 1983”).In addition, a valuable TV broadcast pro shot “GasTank Live” is also included as a bonus at the end. This is a music program in which Rick Wakeman serves as a personality and was recorded on “February 12, 1983”. Phil Lynott / John Sykes, not the name of THIN LIZZY, has appeared, and Rick and Tony Ashton (!) And Phil’s solo songs “Growing Up” and “The Man’s A Fool” You can even watch a super gorgeous solo battle called Rick vs Sykes. This is also recorded with a completely official-class super-superb master. [Live album by the finest sound board is also set] I’m full with just such a professional shot, but in this work, the stereo sound board sound of the main performance in Dublin has been made into a live album and included. Simultaneously released “REGAL THEATER 1983: STEREO MIX” was upgraded by synchronizing stereo FM sound with monaural TV video, but the Dublin performance was a superb stereo sound board for the TV broadcast itself. It works well as a live album.
Although it has a local feel, the video/audio quality is super and superb. It is a decision board that reprinted the longest professional shot of such Sykes era from the best master. Complete with tour documentaries and soundtrack CDs, all of which are fully official 2-disc sets. Please enjoy to your heart’s content a quasi-official masterpiece that stands in line with the top work “REGAL THEATER 1983: STEREO MIX”.

【LIZZY最後にしてサイクス時代最長のプロショット】
これがジョン・サイクス加入後の歩み。『REGAL THEATRE 1983: STEREO MIX』はアルバム発売前にツアー開始を告げる初日でもあったわけですが、本作のダブリン公演は『THUNDER AND LIGHTNING』リリース後。大陸ヨーロッパへ進出する直前となる「英国#2」の23公演目でした。このショウはアイルランドの地元局“RTE TV”で放送。当時はローカルすぎてなかなか定番化しませんでしたが、2005年にDVD化されてからは「THIN LIZZY最後のプロショット」として広く知られるようになりました。本作は、そのベスト・マスターから精緻に復刻したものなのです。
そのクオリティは上等ながらもややマニアック。マスター鮮度は劣化ゼロの究極版ですし、画質／音質も極上です。ただし、マスターが極上だからこそ大元となるダブリン地方局“RTE Irish TV”のローカル感も鮮明。実際、同時リリースの『REGAL THEATRE 1983: STEREO MIX』と比べると画面が暗く、カメラ台数も少なめ。遠景を多用したカメラアングルや妙に凝ろうとしたスイッチングの演出もロック・コンサート慣れしていない感じなのです。
なんだかお薦めしているのか違うのか微妙な感じになってしまいましたが、もちろん必見・必携。80年代アイルランド（北部ではないのでUKでもありません）のローカル感自体がヒストリカルですし、何より重要なのは「サイクス時代の最長映像」なのがデカい。約50分の放送枠は最高峰クオリティのリーガル映像も超えていますし、曲数も多い。ここで比較しながらセットを整理しておきましょう。

……と、このようになっています。いろいろと美味しい曲が楽しめるわけですが、特にレアなのは「Whisky In The Jar」。同時リリースの『REGAL THEATRE 1983: STEREO MIX』や公式『LIFE』『BBC RADIO ONE』にも収録されていない。貴重極まるサイクス・バージョンをプロショットで楽しめるのです。
【ツアー・ドキュメンタリーや貴重なボーナス・プロショットも収録】
最後の故国ツアーは長尺ライヴ番組だけでなく、ツアー自体を特集したドキュメンタリー番組「THE SUN GOES DOWN: Thin Lizzy’s Farewell Irish Tour」も放送されました。本作では、ライヴ篇とドキュメンタリー篇の双方を最高峰マスターでカップリング収録（このドキュメンタリーも重要である為、本作のタイトルは「ダブリン1983」ではなく『IRISH TOUR ’83』なのです）。
さらに最後の最後には貴重なTV放送プロショット“GasTank Live”もボーナス収録。これはリック・ウェイクマンがパーソナリティを務める音楽番組で、「1983年２月12日」に収録されたもの。THIN LIZZY名義ではなくフィル・ライノット／ジョン・サイクスの２人で出演しており、リックやトニー・アシュトン（！）とフィルのソロ曲「Growing Up」「The Man’s A Fool」を共演しており、リックvsサイクスという超豪華なソロバトルまで観られる。これまた完全オフィシャル級の超極上マスターで収録しています。

そんなプロショットだけでもお腹いっぱいですが、本作ではさらに本編ダブリン公演のステレオ・サウンドボード音声をライヴアルバム化して同梱しました。同時リリースの『REGAL THEATRE 1983: STEREO MIX』はモノラルのTV映像にステレオのFM音声をシンクロさせる事でアップグレードを図りましたが、ダブリン公演はTV放送自体が極上のステレオ・サウンドボード。ライヴアルバムとして十分に通用するのです。
ローカル感はあるものの、映像／音声のクオリティは超・極上。そんなサイクス時代最長のプロショットをベスト・マスターから復刻した決定盤です。ツアー・ドキュメンタリーやサウンドトラックCDまで完備し、そのすべてが完全オフィシャル級となる２枚組。頂点作『REGAL THEATRE 1983: STEREO MIX』にも並ぶ準オフィシャルの大傑作、どうぞ心ゆくまでご堪能ください。
