TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND led by Derek Trucks, one of the three major modern guitarists. The best multi-camera pro shot is the gift release decision.
Included in this work is “August 25, 2018 Allington Performance”. It is a pattern when he appeared at the music festival “LOCKN’FESTIVAL” which is the 6th time this year. This festival focuses on jam bands and improvisations, and is an outdoor event held every fall. This year, about 35 groups of band artists will participate in the four days from August 23 (Thursday) to August 26 (Sunday). TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND stood on the stage twice in the main stage quasi-tri on the 3rd and 4th days, and this work was the stage corresponding to the “3rd day”. This show is broadcast live on the WEB cast, and this work is a DVD version of the finest master. First, let’s check the position of the show in the activity schedule for 2018.

This is the 2018 TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND. LOCKN’FESTIVAL of this work was the stage which was the second performance of “North America # 4” which is the autumn schedule. This work that contains such a show is the best professional shot as mentioned above. Although it is a live broadcast, the image quality and sound quality are perfect only for the latest WEB cast. Both the camera work and the sound mix are iron-clad, and there is no way to stingy. It is a superb gem that can only be described as an “official-class professional shot”.
The show drawn with that quality is the best as usual. The performance starts from a bright time, but the sunshine is dyed yellow, and the more songs are layered, the redder and darker it becomes. And the colorful stage lights increase their presence as the darkness gets deeper. It is truly fantastic that the natural blue sky and artificial lighting draw gradation in real time. Whether it’s the openness of an outdoor festival or the mood of a delicious atmosphere, it’s a video that is really perfect for the music of TEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND and doubles their charm.
And the show itself is also wonderful. The representative songs are evenly scattered from the three original albums, and there are plenty of delicious covers. Bob Dylan’s “Lord Protect My Child”, Leon Russell’s “A Song For You”, Joe Tex’s “Show Me”, Johnny Moore’s “How Blue Can You Get?”, And THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND “Little Martha” and “Whipping Post” ……. These covers get thicker in the second half, but the main highlight is actually the beginning. It will start moistly with Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)”. Actually, this day is about 10 days after Aretha’s obituary. There is no MC dedicated to her, but her performance and singing voice exude deep respect. Their tribute, which speaks in music rather than words, is in my heart.
In addition to such a set, this work cannot be overlooked by special guests. Aaron Neville’s son, Ivan Neville, will appear in the big song “Bound For Glory” that will be performed in the cover rush. He participated with the keyboard and showed a light piano in the first half, but changed to an organ in the middle stage. You can listen to a lot of colorful and dynamic solos. And Derek’s guitar solo that burns up because of Ivan’s enthusiastic performance is wonderful.

As always, a wonderful original and a number of deep and tasty covers with “I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)” that is close to your heart. It is a masterpiece that you can fully enjoy such a latest show with super-excellent official-class professional shots. One of the mellow pieces that promises the best music time for the long autumn nights. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content.

現代の３大ギタリストにも数えられるデレク・トラックス率いるTEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND。その極上マルチカメラ・プロショットがギフト・リリース決定です。
本作に収められているのは「2018年８月25日アリントン公演」。今年６回目となる音楽祭“LOCKN’ FESTIVAL”に出演した際の模様です。このフェスはジャムバンドや即興演奏に主眼を置いており、例年秋に開催される野外イベント。今年は８月23日（木曜）から８月26日（日曜）までの４日間で約35組のバンド・アーティストが参加。TEDESCHI TRUCKS BANDは３日目・４日目のメインステージ準トリで２度ステージに立っており、本作はその「３日目」にあたるステージでした。このショウはWEBキャストで生放送されており、本作はその極上マスターをDVD化したものなのです。まずは、2018年の活動スケジュールの中でショウのポジションを確認してみましょう。

これが2018年のTEDESCHI TRUCKS BAND。本作のLOCKN’ FESTIVALは、秋日程にあたる「北米#4」の２公演目にあたるステージでした。そんなショウを収めた本作は、前述した通りの極上プロショット。生中継とは言え、最新WEBキャストだけに画質も音質もパーフェクト。カメラワークもサウンドミックスも鉄壁で、ケチの付けようがない。「オフィシャル級プロショット」としか言い様がない超極上の逸品です。
そのクオリティで描かれるショウは、いつものように最高。まだ明るい時刻から開演しますが、その日差しは黄色く染まっており、１曲また１曲と重ねるほどに赤く、暗くなっていく。そして、闇が深くなるほどに存在感を増すのが色とりどりのステージ・ライト。天然の青空と人工のライトアップがリアルタイムでグラデーションを描いていく様が実に幻想的。野外フェスの開放感にしても、滋味深いムードにしても、実にTEDESCHI TRUCKS BANDの音楽にぴったりで彼らの魅力を幾重にも倍加させてくれる映像なのです。
そして、ショウそのものも素晴らしい。３枚のオリジナルアルバムから代表曲を均等に散りばめつつ、美味しいカバーもたっぷり。ボブ・ディランの「Lord Protect My Child」、レオン・ラッセルの「A Song For You」、ジョー・テックスの「Show Me」、ジョニー・ムーアの「How Blue Can You Get?」、そしてTHE ALLMAN BROTHERS BANDの「Little Martha」と「Whipping Post」……。こうしたカバーは後半に行くほど濃厚になっていくのですが、一番の見どころは実は冒頭。アレサ・フランクリンの「I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)」でしっとりと開演するのです。実は、この日はアレサの訃報から約10日というタイミング。特に彼女に捧げるMCなどはないのですが、演奏と歌声に深い敬愛が滲み出る。言葉ではなく音楽で語る彼ららしいトリビュートが胸に染みるのです。
そんなセットに加え、本作は特別ゲストも見逃せない。カバーラッシュに混じって演奏される大代表曲「Bound For Glory」で登場するのはアーロン・ネヴィルの息子、アイヴァン・ネヴィル。彼はキーボードで参加し、前半は軽快なピアノを披露していますが、中盤でオルガンにチェンジ。カラフルで豪快なソロをたっぷりと聴かせてくれる。そして、そんなアイヴァンの熱演を受けるからこそ燃え上がるデレクのギターソロが何とも素晴らしいのです。

いつものように素晴らしいオリジナルと、胸に迫る「I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You)」を筆答に味わい深くディープなカバーの数々。そんな最新ショウを超極上のオフィシャル級プロショットでたっぷりと楽しめる大傑作です。秋の夜長に極上な音楽タイムを約束してくれる芳醇の１枚。どうぞ、心ゆくまで存分にお楽しみください。
