Coupling recorded live recordings of Steps Ahead’s performances at two jazz festivals held every day in 1985. One is the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, and the other is the Nice Jazz Festival in France. Both sound board recordings with good sound quality. The name of the band is not well known, but the band with Michael Brecker, led by Mike Mainieri. Rhythm Corps is a jazz rock/fusion world super group with Weather Report’s Victor Bailey and Peter Erskine. The set list doesn’t change much, but they are good at improvisation in the first place, and you can enjoy playing the same song that is not the same. Bobby McFarlane participates in one of the songs at the North Sea Jazz Festival, and his unique voice saxophone is shown.

ステップス・アヘッドの1985年に連日行われた二つのジャズ・フェスティヴァル出演時のライヴ音源をカップリング収録。方やオランダで行われたノース・シー・ジャズ・フェスティヴァル、もう方やフランスのニース・ジャズ・フェスティヴァルです。いずれも音質の良いサウンドボード収録。バンド名こそあまり知られていませんが、マイク・マイニエリ率いるマイケル・ブレッカー在籍バンド。リズム隊はウェザー・リポートのヴィクター・ベイリーにピーター・アースキンというジャズ・ロック／フュージョン界のスーパー・グループです。セットリストこそ大きく変わりませんが、そもそもインプロヴィゼーションを得意としており、同じ曲も同じじゃない演奏が楽しめます。ノース・シー・ジャズ・フェスティヴァルの一曲でボビー・マクファーレンが参加しており、独自のヴォイス・サキソフォンが披露されています。
