The tour accompanying “4” was completed, and Slash took less than a month to restart GUNS N’ROSES. Introducing his latest professional shot.
This work was shot at “March 7, 2022 Boston performance”. That multi-camera pro shot. Speaking of 2022 pro shots, “LIVE AT STUDIOS 60”, which has become a hot topic for the complete reproduction of “4”, has become a standard, but of course this work is different. In order to understand the situation in that area, let’s first review the schedule that has been announced so far.

This is the 2022 slash. Solo activities will be held until March, and GUNS will start in May. The South American tour has also been announced, and it has become more and more active. The solo tour took 30 performances in North America, but the Boston performance of this work was the 19th concert.
It’s been a month and a half since the live performance, but this work is the latest video that has just been released. It was a streamed pro shot delivered from the platform “Veeps” and was only available to purchasers of the delivery ticket for a limited time of 48 hours. There is only the latest delivery and the quality is the best. The movement is a little like dropping frames, but this is probably the production side’s production. That is to say, this image has a more “created image” feeling than reality. Basically, it’s a live pro shot as usual, but the color is super vivid. The highlights of the stage illuminated by colorful lights are emphasized, and the primary colors are so strong that it is impossible in reality. It’s a professional shot with a unique aesthetic.
The beauty of the image is the full show of “THE RIVER IS RISING Tour”, which closed the curtain with favorable reception. As mentioned earlier, there was also a superb professional shot “LIVE AT STUDIOS 60” in 2022, but that was a studio live that focused on playing all the songs on the album, and the audience was zero. On the other hand, this work is a complete tour and a concert live with the audience. The set is also a normal style that does not stick to the album. そんな本作が撮影されたのは「2022年３月７日ボストン公演」。そのマルチカメラ・プロショットです。2022年のプロショットと言えば、『４』完全再現が話題になった『LIVE AT STUDIOS 60』も定番化していますが、もちろん本作は別物。その辺の状況をは把握するためにも、まずは現在までに公表されているスケジュールからおさらいしてみましょう。

これが2022年のスラッシュ。３月までソロ活動を行い、５月からGUNSが始動。南米ツアーも発表となり、ますます活発になってきました。ソロツアーは北米を30公演かけて巡ったわけですが、本作のボストン公演はそんお19公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
ライヴ本番から１ヶ月半が経っているわけですが、本作は公開されたばかりの最新映像。プラットフォーム“Veeps”から配信されたストリーミング公開されたプロショットでして、48時間限定で配信チケットの購入者だけが見られるものでした。最新配信だけあってそのクオリティは極上。動きはややコマ落ちっぽさもあるのですが、これは恐らく制作側の演出。と申しますのも、この映像はリアリティよりも「作り込んだ映像」感があるのです。基本的には通常通りのライヴ・プロショットなのですが、色合いが超ビビッド。色とりどりの照明で照らされたステージのハイライトが強調され、実際ではありえないほど原色感が強い。独特な美学で貫かれたプロショットなのです。
そんな映像美で描かれるのは、好評のうちに幕を閉じた“THE RIVER IS RISING Tour”のフルショウ。先述したように、2022年には極上プロショット『LIVE AT STUDIOS 60』もあるのですが、あれはアルバム全曲演奏を主軸としたスタジオ・ライヴで観客もゼロでした。それに対し、本作は完全にツアーの一幕であり、観客も入ったコンサート・ライヴ。セットもアルバムにこだわらない通常スタイルです。どれほど違うのか、『LIVE AT STUDIOS 60』と比較しながら整理してみましょう。
