In 2012, the Rolling Stones, which celebrated its 50th anniversary, gave a valuable concert with only 5 performances in Britain and the United States, which is a small number to sing a tour. This work is the title of the final performance of Newark, which is a complete recording of Prudential Center’s continuous performances on both days. Especially on the last day, it is recorded with a sound board sound source.
Disc 1 and Disc 2 recorded the concert on the first day of December 13, 2012. This first day was an audience recording, but it was recorded with excellent high-quality sound, which is suitable for recording in the 21st century. Compared to the sound board sound source on the second day, the sound quality and tone are really the best features of audience recording. The set list is different every time, and after coming to the United States, “I want to be a boyfriend” is cut. The opening was unified in “the world of loneliness”. Following the nostalgic “Last Time”, the London performance had a timely selection of songs, but this time in the United States there is no Bill Wyman, so “It’s Only Rock’n Roll” will be performed in the early stages. 2012年、結成50周年となるローリングストーンズが、英米でわずか5公演という、ツアーを謳うには本数が少ない貴重なコンサートを行なった。本作は、その最終公演地となるニューアークはプルデンシャル・センター連続公演を、両日ともに完全収録したタイトルである。特に最終日はサウンドボード音源で収録している。
ディスク１とディスク2は初日2012年12月13日のコンサートを収録。この初日はオーディエンス録音だが、さすが21世紀の録音に相応しい、素晴らしい高音質での収録。二日目のサウンドボード音源と比べ、実にオーディエンス録音の良い特長が集約された音質、音色となっている。セットリストは毎回異なり、アメリカに来てからは「彼氏になりたい」がカット。オープニングは「ひとりぼっちの世界」で統一された。懐かしい「ラストタイム」に続いて、ロンドン公演では時代を追った選曲がなされていたが、今回アメリカではビル・ワイマンがいないこともあって、「イッツ・オンリー・ロックンロール」が序盤で演奏されるようになった。今年初披露となるのは、ジョン・メイヤーをゲストに迎えての「レスペクタブル」である。ミック・テイラーは自身のツアーをキャンセルしてストーンズに同行、アメリカでも「ミッドナイト・ランブラー」でギターを弾いている。またファン投票によるリクエストで「アラウンド＆アラウンド」を演奏してるのも興味深い選曲である。
ディスク3とディスク4は、連続公演の二日目にしてツアー最終日、2012年12月15日のコンサートを収録。こちらは完璧なサウンドボード音源で収録。音質はもちろん、文句のつけようがない。内容的にも多彩なゲストが登場してステージに華を添えていて興味をそそられる。「ギミー・シェルター」では、今、最も旬な女性アーティストであろうレディガガが登場。奇抜なファッションは相変わらず、ミックに合わせつつも独自の世界を展開している。またこちらも旬なロック・デュオ、ブラックキーズをゲストに迎え、ボ・ディドリーの「フー・ドゥーユーラブ」を演奏。さらにゲストはこれだけにとどまらず、「ダイスをころがせ」には、地元の英雄スプリングスティーンが、ひときわ大きな歓声を浴びて登場する。もちろんヴォーカルもミックと分け合い、意外なゲストに意外な選曲と、非常に珍しいバージョンとなっている。
