The latest report “MANCHESTER 2022 (Uxbridge 1681)” is also very popular with QUEEN + Adam Lambert’s “The Rhapsody Tour”. The second big 4-disc set is already available.
The content of this work is “June 2nd + 3rd, 2022 Glasgow Performance”. It is the best audience recording set. “MANCHESTER 2022” was also a set of 2 performances at the same venue, but the style follows the second work. First of all, let’s check the positional relationship between the two works in the ongoing tour schedule.
● Adam’s solo
・ April 28-May 6: North America (6 performances)
● QUEEN + Adam
・ May 27 + 28: Belfast (2 performances)
・ May 30 “MANCHESTER 2022 (DISC 1-2)”
・ May 31 “MANCHESTER 2022 (DISC 3-4)”
・ June 2: Glasgow performance ← ★ This work DISC 1-2 ★
・ June 3: Glasgow performance ← ★ This work DISC 3-4 ★
・ June 4: Platinum Jubilee appearance
・ June 5-9: London (4 performances)
・ June 11 + 12: Birmingham (2 performances)
・ June 14-21: London (6 performances)
・ June 24-July 25: Europe (18 performances)
This is the 2022 schedule that has been announced so far. The previous work “MANCHESTER 2022” was the 3 + 4 performance at the beginning of the tour, but the Slasgo performance of this work is just after that. It was two consecutive days of 5 + 6 performances.
This work recorded at such a show was recorded by the same recording artist, and is a beautiful recording that shines brilliantly. The previous work was also neat enough, but this work is beautiful with a ring. In the previous work, the bass sound was thick and it was also powerful, but this work feels sharp and clear, and the outline of each sound is clearer. Of course, it is not without the sound of the hall, but its transparency has increased, giving the playing sound and vocals a sparkling “shine”. Moreover, the silent part in the gap of each sound is deep. As a result, the performance sound is dignified and audible, creating a three-dimensional effect in the ensemble. Although the thick dynamism raises the rank of the previous work, this work is superior in “beauty”, “brilliance” and “ease of listening”.
And what’s great is that the clear taste has been used for two performances. At the beginning of the first day (DISC 1), there was some fluctuation in the sound quality (apparently, the late audience passed in front of the taper), but other than that, it was stable. With the stability of the iron wall, you can enjoy the full show x 2 times at once.
What kind of brilliant beautiful sound is drawn is a treasure trove of masterpieces that are similar to the previous work. The set is the same as the previous work, so let’s change the taste this time and rearrange it by comparing it with the 2020 “The Rhapsody Tour” visit to Japan, which is memorable for us.
● 70’s (15 songs)
Sheer Heart Attack: Now I’m Here / Killer Queen / In The Lap of the Gods … Revisited
・ A Night at the Opera: I’m In Love With My Car / Love of My Life / ’39 / Bohemian Rhapsody
・ Jazz: Don’t Stop Me Now / Bicycle Race / Fat Bottomed Girls (★)
・ Others: Seven Seas of Rhye / Somebody To Love / Tie Your Mother Down / We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions
● Since the 1980s (12 songs)
・ The Works: Tear It Up (★) / Hammer to Fall / I Want To Break Free / Radio Ga Ga
・ Others: Another One Bites the Dust / Crazy Little Thing Called Love / Under Pressure / A Kind Of Magic (★) / Who Wants To Live Forever / I Want It All / These Are the Days of Our Lives (★) / The Show Must Go On
* Note: “★” marks are songs that were not performed at the 2020 performance in Japan.
…… And it looks like this. The general flow of the show that starts at “Now I’m Here” follows the Japanese performance, but the details have changed slightly. The Japanese limited songs “Teo Torriatte”, “I Was Born To Love You” and the initial songs “Keep Yourself Alive” and “Doing All Right” have been dropped, and four songs have been included in the set instead. “Fat Bottomed Girls”, which started immediately after the performance in Japan, will be taken over this year, and “Tear It Up”, “These Are the Days of Our Lives” and “A Kind Of Magic” will be revived for the first time in four years. It is a collection of colorful masterpieces with a slightly late center of gravity.
“MANCHESTER 2022”, which was profound and dynamic, and this work with a clear brilliant sound. Both are the latest live albums with different personalities. You can choose according to your taste of sound, or you can immerse yourself in a group of famous songs that change their facial expressions depending on the difference in sound. A 2-series work of 4 discs that can be enjoyed in any way. Please enjoy this week as well.
★ The best audience recording set of “June 2nd + 3rd, 2022 Glasgow Performance”. This is a 4-disc set that is the sequel to the popular “MANCHESTER 2022 (Uxbridge 1681)”, and is a beautiful recording that is clear and brilliant compared to the dynamic previous work. The outline of each note is clearer and more vivid, and the transparent hall sound gives the playing sound and vocals a sparkling “shine”. You can experience the latest The Rhapsody Tour, which you couldn’t hear in Japan, such as “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “Tear It Up,” “These Are the Days of Our Lives,” and “A Kind Of Magic.”
