THE POLICE in 1979 spread the impact of its debut all over the world and even made a breakthrough in the single “Message In A Bottle”. Three kinds of sound board albums that inject aggressive live performances into the brain will be released at the same time! Introducing a press CD that permanently preserves the highest peak master supervised by a researcher.
This work is the third of such three consecutive works. This is a stereo soundboard recording of “November 29, 1979 New York City Performance”. “PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979 (Wardour-522)” and “PARADISO 1979 (Wardour-523)”, which will be released at the same time, were live albums of “OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR Tour”. Recorded after the change to “REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour”. First, let’s look back at the whole view and check the position of the show.

This is the whole picture of “REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour”. At our shop, the press masterpiece “HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1979 (Wardour-387)” recorded by Kinney is also a standard, but the performance of this work in New York City is about 3 weeks before that. It was the 39th performance of “North America # 1b”.
This work recorded at such a show was like “DISC 1 of a long LIVE!”. As you know, the official edition “LIVE!” Was a coupling of “1979 Boston performance” and “1983 Atlanta performance”, but this work was also a show of “next to Boston performance”. And the sound is very similar. Originally, “LIVE!” Was a priority for freshness for an official work, but this work also has a lively feel. No, rather, the vividness and luster of each note is higher than that of this work.
What is drawn with such an officially surpassing sound is a full show that is beyond the official content. The set at the scene is the same in Boston (official) and New York (this work), but there was a naze or a cut in “LIVE!”. Let’s organize them while comparing them here.

… and this is the real full set. While the Boston recording of “LIVE!” Was about 71 minutes, this work was barely about 80 minutes. Three more songs are recorded, and even the DJ intro / outro of the radio program is completely recorded.
The three press titles released at the same time this week are all unique, but among them, this work is by far the easiest to understand and has a sufficient impact. If you love DISC 1 of “LIVE!”, It is an upgrade board that promises even more satisfaction in terms of both sound and number of songs while having the same taste. 本作は、そんな３連作の第三弾。「1979年11月29日ニューヨーク・シティ公演」のステレオ・サウンドボード録音です。同時リリースとなる『PINKPOP FESTIVAL 1979（Wardour-522）』『PARADISO 1979（Wardour-523）』は“OUTLANDOS D’AMOUR Tour”のライヴアルバムでしたが、本作は同じ1979年とは言っても“REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour”に交代してからの記録。まずは、その全景を振り返り、ショウのポジションを確かめてみましょう。

《７月７日『ZENYATTA MONDATTA』製作開始》
これが“REGGATTA DE BLANC Tour”の全体像。当店ではキニー録音のプレス名盤『HAMMERSMITH PALAIS 1979（Wardour-387）』も定番となっていますが、本作のニューヨーク・シティ公演はその約３週間前。「北米#1b」の39公演目にあたるコンサートでした。
そんなショウで記録された本作は「長尺化したLIVE!のDISC 1」といった感じ。ご存知の通り、公式盤『LIVE!』は「1979年ボストン公演」と「1983年アトランタ公演」のカップリングだったわけですが、本作は「ボストン公演の次」のショウでもあったのです。そして、サウンドも酷似。元々『LIVE!』がオフィシャル作品にしては生々しさ優先だった事もありますが、本作もあの感触が生きている。いや、むしろ１音１音の鮮やかさや艶やかさは本作の方が上回っているくらいです。
そんな公式超えサウンドで描かれるのは、内容的のもオフィシャル超えなフルショウ。現場のセットはボストン（公式）もニューヨーク（本作）も同一なのですが、『LIVE!』ではナゼかカットがありました。ここで比較しながら整理してみましょう。
