Pink Floyd’s album “Insanity” is praised as the greatest masterpiece of 70’s rock history. This immortal masterpiece, which celebrated its 50th anniversary, has been released in various forms so far, but “Multitrack Edition” is now available as a new collector’s item! CD1 contains a stereo remixed sound source based on the “SQ4 = 4-channel mix” analog master, which was released as a limited edition in 1973 as “QUADRAPHONIC STEREO REMASTER”. The 4-channel that was the forerunner of the current surround must pass through the SQ decoder and cannot be played back easily, but a stereo-converted mix from the sound source is adopted. You can listen to a mix with slightly different balance and separation than normal stereo. CD 2 contains track separation analysis sound sources such as various instruments and vocals separated from the multi-channel that is the source of 4 channels as “MULTITRACKS”. It is an interesting sound source that reveals the basic track of each song with the sound source that extracts the guitar, bass, drums, vocals and chorus, and makes it possible to distinguish parts that you can not normally hear. This is the latest edited collector’s item that captures the 50th anniversary of the masterpiece “Kukiki” from a new and different perspective.

70年代ロック史上最高のマスターピースとして称賛されるピンク・フロイドのアルバム『狂気』。リリース50周年を迎えたこの不朽の名作はこれまで様々な形でリリースされてきましたが新たなコレクターズ・アイテムとして『マルチトラックス・エディション』が登場！CD1には”QUADRAPHONIC STEREO REMASTER”として73年当時限定的に発売された「SQ4＝4チャンネル・ミックス」アナログ原盤を元にステレオ・リミックスされた音源を収録。現在のサラウンドの先駆けとなった4チャンネルはSQデコーダーを通さなければならず簡易的に再生出来ませんが、その音源からステレオ・コンバートしたミックスを採用。通常のステレオとはバランスやセパレーションが微妙に異なるミックスを聴くことが出来ます。CD2には”MULTITRACKS”として4チャンネルの元となるマルチチャンネルからセパレートされた各種楽器やボーカル等のトラック分離解析音源を収録。ギター、ベース、ドラムス、ボーカルやコーラスをそれぞれ抽出した音源でそれぞれの曲のベーシック・トラックが露呈され通常では聞き取れなかったパートまでを聞き分けられる興味深い音源となっています。リリース50周年となる名盤『狂気』を新たに別の側面からとらえた最新編集コレクターズ・アイテムです。
