Such a work was filmed “Hamilton performance on June 28, 1975”. It is the audience shot. Speaking of “WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour”, it consisted of “April Hen”, “June Hen” in North America and “Knebworth Festival” in July. This is the 1975 PINK FLOYD. In the UK, there is only one Knebworth performance, and the rest are all in North America. This work was the last day of such a North American tour.
This work, which was recorded at such a site, was regretted just the other day, and is now a superb image that is shaking FLOYD collectors around the world. As a production, it is the same as the conventional 8 mm film work, and the audience recording is synchronized with the chopped image of several seconds to tens of seconds. I can’t expect a complete video of a whole song only for the short Super 8 reel, but since I’m turning the film at various places, I’m digesting the full show in about 28 minutes.
And what’s surprising is the quality. 8mm is known for its more beautiful resolution and color than VHS, but this work can be said to be the highest version. The state of preservation of the film is terrifyingly good, with no scratches, dust, noise, or even fading. Moreover, the ultra-superb film is 2K digitally scanned, and its image beauty can be called “completely official grade” even by modern standards.
The camera work makes the visual beauty even more impressive. Especially in the first half, it was still a sunny time, and there was plenty of amazing zoom using the brightness. The close-up shots that capture the expressions of each member are professional shots, and the beauty of the flower petal-shaped disco ball that spins behind the stage is… (Probably the same as “HAMILTON 1975 (Sigma 208)”) The best sound is synchronized, and it seems to believe that it is an officially produced documentary movie (actually a fan production).

A reprint of the 70’s 8mm film that has produced many masterpieces. However, I can’t think of a picture beauty like this work. A super-beautiful video masterpiece that overturns even the common sense of 8mm video. No way, the day will come when you can experience the “WISH YOU WERE HERE Tour” with such quality …. One piece that makes you taste the real thrill of the video archive at the highest level. Please enjoy it to the fullest.

これが1975年のPINK FLOYD。英国ではネブワース１公演だけで、残りはすべて北米。本作は、そんな北米ツアーの最終日だったわけです。
そんな現場で記録された本作はつい先日後悔され、今まさに世界中のFLOYDコレクターを震撼させている極上映像。作りとしては従来の８ミリ・フィルム作品と同じで数秒から十数秒の細切れ映像にオーディエンス録音をシンクロさせたもの。撮影時間の短いSuper 8リールだけに１曲丸ごとの完全映像は望めないのですが、各所の見どころでフィルムを回しているため、約28分でフルショウをダイジェストしています。
そして、驚きなのはクオリティ。８ミリはVHSよりも解像度や発色が美しい事で知られますが、本作はその最高峰版と言ってもいい。フィルムの保存状態が恐ろしく良く、キズもホコリもノイズも退色さえもまーっったくない。しかも、その超極上フィルムを2Kデジタル・スキャンしており、その映像美は現代基準でも「完全オフィシャル級」と呼べます。
その映像美をさらに強烈に印象づけているのがカメラワーク。特に前半はまだ陽の高い時刻の出演でして、その明るさを利用して凄まじいズームがたっぷり。各メンバーの表情にも迫るドアップはプロショット級ですし、ステージ後方で回る花びら型ミラーボールの美しさと言ったら……。（恐らく『HAMILTON 1975（Sigma 208）』と同じ）極上音声がシンクロされている事もあり、それこそオフィシャル製作の記録映画と言われたら信じてしまいそうです（実際にはファン製作です）。
