Recorded February 16, 2001 over a period of three weeks at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles. Producer David Kahne handpicked guitarist Rusty Anderson, drummer Abe Laboriel Jr. and keyboardist Gabe Dixon. Paul’s son James plays guitar on some songs. The album Driving Rain was released on November 12, 2001. A live take, a track from an Ian Dury tribute album, and a track written in 10 minutes for the film Vanilla Sky, which was only released on a promotional CD with Music from Vanilla Sky, is a rarity. is. “Hurt Myself” is a track from Rusty Anderson’s Undressing Underwater, first released in the fall of 2003, with Paul on backing vocals. Paul is participating as a singer. 10 – Inside Thing (Let ‘Em In) – ‘Let ‘Em in’ sampled by Lulu on the May 21, 2002 album Lulu – Together 11-13 – Vo!ce – Heather Mills ft. Paul McCartney Recorded in October 1999 and released in three different mixes on December 1, 1999. It was co-written by Heather Mills and Nikko Patrellakis and recorded in part in Athens. 14-17- October 20, 2001, Madison Square Garden, New York City, New York City Fire Department, NYPD first responders and their families, and those killed in the 9/11 attacks. 4 songs recorded live at a memorial concert. It was released on November 27, 2001 at The Concert for New York City. 18-19 – Two songs recorded live at Buckingham Palace in London on June 3, 2002 for Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday, and released as “Party at the Palace” on July 2, 2002. Rod Stewart and Joe Cocker provide background vocals on “All You Need is Love,” while the grand finale, “Hey Jude,” features everyone involved. So, using various single mixes and edits, including the download-exclusive Driving Rain remix, plus a few tracks from Various Artists’ albums from this era, the volume is 39 tracks in total. 2 press CDs!
