夭逝したランディへの想いは、誰もが同じです。彼のギターを１秒でも長く、１音でも多く聴きたい。その想いに掻き立てられるからこそ、幾多のブートレッグにも手を出してきました。本作の素晴らしさは、その想いに応えるようなギターのダイレクト感です！　一聴するとプロヴィデンス公演のような均整の取れたトータル・サウンドではありませんが、まるでリハーサル・ルームに同席しているかのように音が近い。あのランディが、すぐそばで弾いてくれてる……そんな音源はそうそうあるものではありません！
　この感動が胸一杯に広がるのは、やはり「Suicide Solution」に組み込まれたランディのソロ・タイムでしょう。寡聞にして“ミュージック・マウンテン”の会場規模は分かりませんが、サウンドからイメージできるのは巨大なスタジアムではなく、小さなクラブのように聞こえる。もし本当にクラブだとしたら、ランディを観られなかった日本人にとって、羨ましくて羨ましくて気が狂いそうなシチュエーションなわけですが、そんな雰囲気の中に轟く渾身のソロ。この感動は「Dee」さえ思い起こさせる………すいません、言いすぎました。正直に言って、アグレッシヴに弾きまくる様は「Dee」と似ても似つきません。しかし、ふと沸き上がるクラシカルな旋律の美しさが、そして濃厚なプライベート感覚が、かの名トラックをどうしようもなくフラッシュバックさせる。そう、本作の一番の旨みとは、ランディの側に寄り添うような、このプライベート感覚なのです！

　しかも、オフィシャルやライン録音のよそよそしいダイレクト感とはまたひと味違い、観客のリアルな熱狂もしっかり真空パック。海外ファンは「騒ぎたいだけで音楽を聴いてない」とも言われがちですが、この日の観客は「オジー大好き！」「ランディって凄ぇ！」が丸出し（笑）。演奏を聴いていないどころか、手拍子も声援も演奏の熱狂にシンクロしていて、愛情がこぼれだしているのがよく分かる。ランディがソロが熱を帯びると共に歓声がサッと小さくなり、その直後に喜びまくり。「お前ら、手がグーになってるぞ」と突っ込みたくなる、思わず肩を組みたくなるような連中なのです（笑）。こういう客層だからこそ、熱狂的でありながら音楽の邪魔にならない。むしろ、音楽を演出してくれるかのような自然な盛り上がりです。

　大人気のランディ録音の中でも、これほど感動的で心温まる録音があったでしょうか。これほど彼のそばに近づける録音が。本作は、残念ながら「Children Of The Grave」の終盤で録音が終了してしまいますし、“塵ひとつない完全無欠の録音”とも言えません。そういったライヴをご希望の方は、オフィシャル・ライヴ盤や「DEFINITION OF BLIZZARD（Zodiac 005）」、「HOWLING BLIZZARD」のディスク２といった強力なサウンドボード物をご堪能頂いた方が良いでしょう。しかし、そういったライン録音では決して味わえない“暖かみ”や“愛”が、本作には溢れている。「プライベート録音」という言葉の意味が、そのまま形になったようなものなのです。
